I have a dark horse on order. Optioned out there wasn’t a huge price difference between a 401A and 700A. You get slightly more customizability with the 401A and slightly more track oriented functionality on the 700A. My take was I wanted the blue stitched interior, and the extra cooling and the Tremec 6M and the special badges, as personally I think the dark horse badges are awesome. I did not want the handling pack nor the recaros as I won’t be tracking the car. I just want to know that I could track the car while doing a sick pull in 2nd gear going to get grocerys at HEB, cutting off as many karens in Tahoes as I can while my butt is cooled off by the vented seats. Realistically it will be a garage queen and weekend errand cruiser.
I’m with you 100%. Although I would want the wider tires of HP. I’d prob add them aftermarket

Yeah, the price difference between the 305/315 trefeos and perrelli all seasons is astounding...like more than double per tire on average. I found after owning a GT350 with 305/315s on the CUP2's that those are garbage tires for the street so unless I planned to track the car I actually prefer the stock tire/wheels on the dark horse and I'll probably switch to an all weather tire better streetable tire on the DH after I burn down the stock summer tires. The handling pack is like $5500 or so and more than half that is the Trefeo tires. Wasn't affordability for me but just what I know I prefer and how I'll use it.

Yeah, go get those karens before more migrate over here. Of course, they're in the inside lane 100% of the time. Garage queens cost more to insure and it's known, you'll have an awful lot of errands. LOL!

So, are these HEB Tahoe karens, or Tahoe HEB karens ?

Either way, any karen at HEB is a bad development. Let's make sure they make their way to the piggly wiggly.

So back on topic:

Having had three Mach 1's
1972 Grabber Blue Mach 1, R-code 351 HO
2021 white,
2022 grabber blue (sold the 2021 cause I wanted grabber blue)

Dark Horse is a slightly different variation of the Mach 1 and seeing as I have my share of those I like the DH and (my opinion) is worth every penny more than the run of the mill GT's that any slack jaw, Johnny lunchbox, can pick up at their local Ford store for big discounts.

Driving a GT is cooking with electricity,
Driving a DH is cooking with GAS ...

Yeah, those puky GT's are slow as a Prius in your book with that 14 hp less, right? I could have bought any car I wanted so get off your highness dark horse. 🙄

Induction hobs use electrcity, and they're as quick as gas.

Well I see you have a gt so I guess that explains your aggressive personal response, you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and be grateful for what you have, even if it's not a Dark Horse 🐴

Oh jeez. We got a live one. Im a former M1 owner and that was one of the biggest poser comments ever.

Just a question, do you need better credit for that extra 14 HP or something, is it only exclusive for guys with small pee pees? Do you even track that track car? BTW you can also pick up a DH for big discounts pretty much everywhere right now.

Who’s giving discounts on an order for a new 2026, or even a discount on one already sitting on a dealer lot?
Probably a 2025.

That‘s it; the price differential between the GT I wanted and the DH was ony about $4K, and the Tremec is worth that.
For $4k, I agree.
In my case it was $13k. GT PP would be Invoice pricing and DH was MSRP, and taxes on the difference. The only DH options not on the GT was the extra cost for Blue Ember and the interior; maybe ~$2-3k.
