any shock tower braces for us whipple guys

Hated to loose the sweet brace for the dark horse.. Any way to mod it or is someone making a new brace that fits over the whipple.

@Highspeedplay ...... hopefully you can find something that is already made. If not, no way would I drive that set-up (if it were me) without strut tower braces. Bottom line I'd have them fabricated if no off-the-shelf were ready. IMO that HP with no brace will bust things up if not sooner then later (and IMO not much later).

I was leaning more that i liked the look . Not sure it does alot on this chassis suspension setup to be noticed. And I am sure not tracking the car at a limit to be able to tell if it was even on the car. Lol.

@GhastlyTT ..... there is a lengthy report on a car forum that I reposted part of on, I believe this forum, wherein an automotive engineer and his friend used calibration and laser equipment as well as physical links between strut towers and the results were IMO predictable. the lateral forces on them were astounding. When you combine the brace from the firewall to the struts with a strut brace between towers you eliminate incredible torsional and lateral forces on the towers. I would have thought it would be obvious that having two front wheels suspended from strut tower apparatus would be seen as a potential for torsional and lateral damage. On my 2014 the addition of a strut tower brace dramatically improved the fell of the steering and the vehicle's handling, particularly through curves. basic laws of physics are at play here.

Strut tower brace in general is a "feel good" part.

Absolute Nonsense! Just imagine the physics of suspended wheels from the strut tower apparatus with say, for the sake of argument, the pivot point being half way and you then lock the tops of the two towers together and then to the brace from the firewall. You don't think that dramatically increases the stability? You must have not taken high school physics to make such a ridiculous statement.

Thoughts on carbon fiber composite brace resting/working over top of the hot engine. does it flex more than steel at temperature? does it warp over time? post cure issues or is it heat cured? That's an expensive maybe to me. looks cool though

seen people just notch the stock one
even though that weakens it still defiantly doing more than the vmp one

Vmp for upper with charger. If you want real structure lock, just get the K brace underneath then you don't have to cover the lovely charger.

@Mellor10 .....a brace underneath would be better than nothing but not as effective with strut tower strengthening as an upper tower brace. I would get a custom steel brace fabricated and then have it powdercoated.
