Hopefully it's more than just another supercharged 5.2L - and by more I mean more exciting stuff, AWD and other things that spice up the old GT500 setup.

I don't understand all the 5.2SC hate, its a great engine. The 5.2SC with a manual would be a sick car. The DCT cars are just boring to me. The DCT is the reason the last GEN GT500 never appealed to me. I owned a C8, sold it after a year and replaced it with another manual car for the garage due to boring driving experience. It made me swear off all auto sports cars.

It's just we've seen it over and over and over again... It's been the heart of the GTD, GT500 and the F-150 for the Last 7 years. It's a strong base configuration but it offers nothing new compared to the GT500... If they just put a body kit and a new emblem over the old GT500, call it cobra and charge us almost 100 grand for it it's just not very compelling.

If they would sell it for just under $80 grand and offer a manual transmission it would be a completely different story.

I'm personally hoping for a 4 door S650 based car. I'd love a new daily with a 5.0/6spd combo. I know its a pipe dream, but a man can wish.

This. The platform is amazing. It just needs to be significantly cheaper and offer a manual to break the internet

A manual would be fun for sure, but i think the take rate would be low and the performance would be abysmal with a 3rd pedal.

I’m sure purists would love that but they end up getting clowned.

This design that is now going viral 100% fits what you we were able to spot on camod cars, the unique shape of the central bar and grille opening matches perfectly. Even the hood locks fit. The squared intake in the grille also perfectly matches the exhaust tip deisgn. I would say this design is 100% real.

Agreed, you can also see the side skirts matching up with recent test mules as well. Looks like this variant will either be called Legend or Dark Horse Boss.

I just saw that on Youtube. What are the odds of Ford stepping up to the plate to even come close to that?! Probably slim to none.
They were pulling off consistent 8.67 to 8.8s over the course of a day. Anything over 150mph requires a chute. Will they be banned by NHRA next?
