I've owned many, many different makes of cars in my 77+ years and I've had issues with all of them at one time or another.

If it's the worst vehicle you've bought for the itemized list you've posted here plus the 'other few annoyances' you should probably stick with uber or lyft.

The OTA update settings loss is all over the M7g forum and it doesn't take an OTA update to lose your settings, sometimes the relevant module will reset all by itself.

Ambient lighting is set with the center stack ; Mustang menu ; my colors or custom colors- whatever it's called. There's a pair of sliders and below that is a swappable button for ambient lighting. Custom colors, ambient lighting and alarm prompt on exit get reset by -I think- ALL OTA updates and when the module randomly resets. It's annoying, and happened to me many times.

But hey, I'll give you $750 for the car outright. No sense holding on to the worst car you've ever owned, and I'm sure my wife would love it.
Nice One!!!!

2025 GT premium. First mustang and the worst vehicle I’ve bought (I’ve had over 15 cars/SUV’s). Ford does the over the air updates and it erases key features I had set. Quiet exhaust mode does not stay set to the times I set it. Now after the update the ambient light feature is no longer in settings, where did it go, I hav no idea. Crappy interior materials that have scratched, and I’m a clean freak and keep my cars spotless, all with ceramic coat and PPF, so I care about paint and interior cleanliness. I could go on with the other few little annoyances but I’ll end my rant as I feel better telling the world ha. Thanks for reading
Does all that really matter when you set the exhaust to Track Mode and whomp on the accelerator? Just trade it in on a Yugo, I hear that they are very popular in Eastern Europe. No electronic updates to worry about.

Not one comment about how the car drives, handles etc. The other things are very small and fixed in seconds, as for the interior I'm sure you saw that before you bought. Sounds like you should have bought a euro car (BMW. Porsche etc). The mustang isn't for everyone but if I was going to buy this pony car for the first time I would have researched it until my eyeballs fell out. Sell it and move on

I must agree to some extent that Ford cuts corners with its interior. Their “Premium“ seats are upscale vinyl, upscale, but still vinyl. And it isn’t to save money so much as saving an animal. The tilt-tele steering wheel is manual. Mopar has power tilt-tele. Ford’s sound systems are sub-par, some of which is limited by Mustang’s size. Magma Ride, or whatever Ford calls it, should be available with any suspension. If Mustang held prices, I could agree with their philosophy, but they haven’t.
Almost all carmakers now use fake leather which is vinyl. At last the Mustang has some real leather on the seats.

Magneride uses different hardware in the suspension hence the reason it is an option.

I've seen other vehicles get updated and settings reset as a result.
Those lighting settings probably just changed to another part of the settings.
Any car you buy will inevitably get scratches at some point. Just the way it is, no matter how careful.

Seems like a small list of somewhat inconsequential issues that are easily remedied and don't warrant calling the car the "worst," but not everyone will see it that way.

Myself, I love the car. No real issues and I get compliments on it just about everywhere I go.

This Forum has been a lifesaver for me since I took delivery if my S650 in Dec 23 and I too have had previous Mustangs and to me, they get better and better. I too have had the issues of said “irritants” and came here to read, learn and remedy them. So to you, this is “Major” but fixable in the end and not a reason to label the Company as The Worst!! If you’re that unhappy, trade it while the resale is what it is and find something else (and maybe not even better) and enjoy that!! This is your opinion and doesn’t reflect the opinions of others here but you are allowed to sound off. Just makes you seem a bit silly but to each their own.

Cheers!!

OP - I actually side with some of your frustrations...but not for all the same reasons.

I'll do my best to spare everyone a long-winded rant...but it sounds like you may be happier in a car that doesn't cost as much AND isn't as bogged-down with technology. I personally haven't bought a new car (or motorcycle for that matter), from any brand in over 10 years. My rationale is that the pleasure they gave me behind the wheel/or bars, from the mid-2010's (or earlier) is where they 'peaked' for me. Do they go faster now? Some, yes. Do they handle better? Peak numbers, sure, but kind of a caveat attached to that because modern tires are SOOO good and modern 'feel' is quite bad. They have also gotten more isolated, less connected to the driver, more tech-laden and worst of all...FAT. Actually, worst of all may be the electronics if I'm being honest, but whatever. Besides that, price is the one universal thing that enthusiasts AND normies can both relate to...modern cars are EXPENSIVE.

I bought my 2013 Mustang GT/CS w/Glass Roof (such a great option that I miss dearly), factory ordered for more than $10k off MSRP (not the norm back then, but I find/buy cars for people as a hobby so I have experience with that). In Canadian funds back then, I picked it up for mid-30's LOADED + PST/GST (12%). A new Mustang with comparable options (missing some I had and gaining others I didn't) is near-as-makes-no-difference DOUBLE the price. Inflation? Of course that is at play along with plenty of other upgrades (and downgrades) through the generations...but it's a PERCEIVED value thing for me. At the end of the day this is an American product with American built standards. I'm OK with shoddy quality here and there IF the price reflects it. This isn't a Ford bash, btw, because this kind of thing is happening EVERYWHERE.

It also doesn't help that the Mustang is priced in the same category as cars that were previously much higher up the ladder on the performance scale. A C8, RS3, CT4V BW or BMW M2 (among MANY others), IMHO, should NEVER be so close in price to that of a 'normal' Mustang. Except that they are. Funny side-note, but Motor Trend did a recent update with their long-term M2 praising it's interior lighting (of all things).

Our BMW M2 Is Our Favorite Night Light

Anyone see the similarities between that interior and an S650 at night? I sure do. No, it's not the "SAME", but I'm one of those old farts (I'm only 40, btw lol) that misses the character and charm of the older interior. S197-S550 was peak for me.

Anyway, I'll cut to the chase...

The S650 is a damn-fine car and the ONLY 2-door car you can buy today (new) with a ripping NA V8 and the option of a manual transmission. Ford knows this, hence the price. You may be happier picking up a minty last-gen (or two generations older) car instead. Hell, go even further back through the generations and find your own sweet-spot. You may find something that scratches your itch more effectively from back then and be happier for it.

Oh, and uh...I'll give you $2,500 CAD...

Chiming in on the fawning over Euro electronics. I have BMWs with the newest iDrive 9 (android based) and 8.5. Both have issues losing settings with OTA updates.
iDrive is amazing in its features, but I spend most of the time in Car Play. The iDrive 9 drives my wife nuts with the complexity. (Don't get me wrong, I lave the driving dynamics in these cars)
Given a choice, I would rather drive my vehicles with Sync 4 any day. Car Play and the vehicle system are better integrated. And I find it to be more usable and comfortable on a daily basis in my '21 F150. It has been great in my Mustang so far...but I have not had an update yet:crackup:

I am 66 years young (yeah right) have driven 14 cars in my lifetime. All German, Swedish and semi English brands, even two frog cars......Last one was a Toyota Land Cruiser. Worse among them were no surprise Land Rover. What a overpriced piece of SHITE. Best and most reliable was the Toyota.
Like most Europeans I always thought low about American cars. UNTIL a real car collector ( Ferrari and co) told me to check out the new Mustang GT. MAN WAS I WRONG ! This Mustang GT pp is the most fun to drive Car EVER. In over a year until now, I have ZERO problems. LOVE my Moo Stang.

Have you checked out what MAJOR problems Euro cars have this days ??? Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Porsche, and even Toyota !

Some MEN:
1826 I killed a bear with my "bare"hands
1926 I walked to the south pole ALONE
2026 I hate my Mustang changing his settings after a update.

DUDE grew some, and stop whining like a little girl GEEEZ.
