Not only FORD but all the car makers with the help of the government have made cars more complicated. Therefore, there are many more items that need attention or are just waiting to go bad. I have a good friend who bought a new MACH 1 a couple of years ago. It has a bit over 1000 miles on it right now. The car just turns off randomly. Two dealers can't fix it. My friend is using the Lemon Law since the car has been in the service departments for months. It's the new America. Mustangs are no better or worse. Buyer beware in today's auto world.

A consumer has every right to voice with their displeasure of a product. Even if it offends blind loyalist, or employees of the company.
Please. No one is offended. And no one is saying the car is without problems. But its pretty obvious this is an old guy who doesnt like technology, bought the wrong car, and has buyers remorse over the price tag. Not at all shocking the resident S650 troll strapped on your cape to defend this snowflake though. Strong work. 👏🏻

Does all that really matter when you set the exhaust to Track Mode and whomp on the accelerator? Just trade it in on a Yugo, I hear that they are very popular in Eastern Europe. No electronic updates to worry about.
Pls my dad had a yugo those 55horsepower were awesome hah plus it had 0 electronics, but there was an ashtray :)

My 25 is my 4th GT and I feel quite the opposite-first time owning one and not saying the next day” I love driving it but the car f’ing sucks.” Always has a love/hate relationship with GT’s.

the build quality on my interior is amazing. Paint is thick. Zero body panel gaps (first for me for a ford) , quiet inside, very tight car, nice hard slamming doors that don’t have a hollow sound. Best shifting yet (not buttery smooth like my Acura before or S2000 but still great).

my only complaint is the boot up time for sync when you start it. Other than than, i think it’s perfect . But i did order every option except automatic so having the magneride and performance pack and variable exhaust really change the vehicle

love my 5 litre

Chiming in on the fawning over Euro electronics. I have BMWs with the newest iDrive 9 (android based) and 8.5. Both have issues losing settings with OTA updates.
iDrive is amazing in its features, but I spend most of the time in Car Play. The iDrive 9 drives my wife nuts with the complexity. (Don't get me wrong, I lave the driving dynamics in these cars)
Given a choice, I would rather drive my vehicles with Sync 4 any day. Car Play and the vehicle system are better integrated. And I find it to be more usable and comfortable on a daily basis in my '21 F150. It has been great in my Mustang so far...but I have not had an update yet:crackup:
I second this. I custom ordered a 2023 BMW X3. It cost close to the same as my Mustang. Interior quality to me is on par with the Mustang. The iDrive 7 infotainment system is worse than Sync 4 in my Mustang and F250. Don’t even try to take your phone out of the X3 when using CarPlay. You’ll almost never get it to connect back without shutting down the car, getting out, locking the doors, waiting a few minutes, then getting back in and starting it up again. It has a bunch of other quirks as well.

The squeaks and rattles are less on the BMW, but materials seem similar quality. BMW seats are fake leather (my choice as the fake leather seemed to be more recommended than the cheaper leather offered in the X3).

I’ve had the X3 for three years now and it is one of the favorite cars I’ve had, despite its issues. I’ve had the Mustang for almost 2 1/2 years and it’s my favorite car ever. Both have issues that I wish were not there or lower quality items I wish were better, but I still enjoy them both. People have every right to complain about annoyances with their vehicles, but unfortunately it’s unlikely you’ll ever find a vehicle without certain things you wish were better or just different.

2025 GT premium. First mustang and the worst vehicle I’ve bought (I’ve had over 15 cars/SUV’s)....
I hear you and I sympathize. However, seriously, those are pretty minor complaints overall. And I've experienced some of those same issues as well, and I got over it.

Ask me about my Cadillac, which had a not-uncommon problem with the power windows not working, randomly. Or the speed-sensitive volume on the radio that would go wack and turn it up to 11 when a new song started. Or the... well, it's GM. Fortunately mine never blew up, but GM has a known issue with the LT4 engine and it's not unusual for them to grenade themselves.

Ask me about my BMW M2 that required 4 trips to service before they finally agreed that the iDrive system was crap and replaced it. Natch they forgot to plug everything in when they did it, so another trip back. Then issues with the steering that required me to escalate it to BMW corporate before they agreed to replace the rack. Then more trips back to get other crap fixed that they broke fixing the first crap. And every time I got a different service loaner, which meant that my station presets weren't there!

Ask me about my other BMW, bought new, which required a new short block, and when they were doing that they cracked the heads so it needed those as well. That one ended up as a buyback because it was in the shop so often and for so long.

Or you could ask me about my Corvette that occasionally refused to start.

Or perhaps the Audi that would every-so-often not recognize the fob. Or would not unlock the gas cover. The dealer said "well, it worked when we tried it." What am I doing, making it up? Grrrr.

So, yeah, the Ford ain't perfect and the interior is kind of cheap, but overall, you know, it's not so bad.

Well, disable the auto-updates. First thing I did! Otherwise it can even theoretically leave your car stranded after an unsuccessful update.

It is probably turning off because it is pissed off that it has only done 1000 miles. A Mach 1 must be 3 years old so 300 miles a year. I walk more than that!
