What AZ-Ryan says (for once, LOL). Man, don't over think this! Just get the car! What's wrong with 19" wheels? Brake dust comes off when I wash my car, every time partly because I keep them waxed. I seldom look at someone's car and get wowed by their wheels unless they're just butt ugly for some strange reason.....like a lot of expensive aftermarket wheels.

Well, I hear you. HOWEVER, I will want all-seasons tires (non-negotiable) so why not use the opportunity to do this upgrade? SInce the OEM wheels and tires will be brand new I can probably recoup a vast portion of the investment.

I really don't think there is a wrong answer because it's YOUR car. Like someone else just said in another thread, you're going to get other opinions and disagreements on any forum, especially this one!

Wasn't the main reason you wanted the Performance Pack because of the wheels though?

For someone who isn't going to track the car, why not get a GT premium with 20" wheels that will already have the all seasing tires on them? Seems like you are way over thinking this.

No, not for the wheels. I was looking at wheel options because I'm not crazy about the options for the PP wheels (I do like the 20" alu wheels but they are not available on the PP).

Anyway, just figuring out what would work, not trying to argue if it makes sense.

Interesting because when I showed you a picture of my wheels you said it sold you.

Not trying to argue here, but what is it about the PP you feel you need to have? If its not the wheels, then the only appeal would be the Torsen rear end and extra cooling bits. But you said you won't be tracking the car so im just trying to follow your logic.

And I’m going to throw something else at you. The 20” wheels look great, but 19” will give you a better ride. Greater choice of 19” wheels also. I thought about 20” but went with 19” for this reason. With same size all season all around (square set-up) life is simpler for rotations also. My GT Premium is great. Just a thought.

Yes, because those are the nicest OEM ones. There's really nothing wrong with then, don't get me wrong.

Doesn't MagneRide help with this though?

Magneride would be a great addition for sure.

Yessir!

Stock is 9x19 ET45 (f), 9.5x19 ET52.2 for 19", 9x20 ET42.5 for 20". Did some quick math and it seems that the offsets would be off by around 11mm with these 20"
Ford OEM wheels have conservative offsets. Something around ET30 would look better (more flush with the fender) for 20x9 and ET32-35 for 20x9.5.

Personally I would go 19x10 or 20x10 ET35 if I was going to upgrade from PP wheels so I could run wider tires.

Magnaride isn't going to help the ride during street driving in normal mode. In fact I doubt you will even be able to tell the difference. Where Magnaride shines is in sport and track modes on the twisties or road course. 19s will handle better in all applications.

This is the easiest solution… purchase all seasons for the PP wheels… sell the summer tires and enjoy your new car

THESE ^^^^ are my next tires and fairly soon. I don't and won't track mine and like someone above said, my 19" wheels ride very well with a combination of good ride and good handling, plus I can rotate my tires. The Continentals that come on Mustangs are crap for life. Of course anyone worried about tire life shoudn't be in a Mustang GT, LOL!. It's all in what the payee wants. MIne is going on an 800 mile round trip tomorrow with the OEM's while they last.

I've had a few sets of these on my GTO and they handle great. I get about 35-40k daily-driven miles on them.

Ok, I settled on my new 20" rims with 265/35R20 tires, purchased from one of our forum sponsors. They're half price compared to the Vossen rims, will be ceramic coated for free, tpm installed/programmed and factory matched to fit my Mustang perfectly. I should be coming out really good financially if I can sell my PP new pair with tires.

This is what they will look like:
