I'm from Europe and I noticed a huge difference in the following:

Panel gaps
- Europeans: This is a quality issue and not normal
- Americans: That's normal, it's a mass produced car
Honestly, I bought dial calipers - you know, the ones used to measure ammunition, where the numbers matter - to the purchase of my last 2 Fords - Raptor & Dark Horse. No visible deviation, and not seeing any asymmetrical gaps.

But that’s just me. How about the rest of you(s) ?

Interior design
- Europeans: This is cheap ass plastic. Not gonna buy it.
- Americans: We buy cars to roar, not to nitpick on plastics.
Definitely glad I was done with the beer when I read this, or I’d have spit it all over the keyboard.
Did someone say Fiat Punto? Europeans buy plenty of cars with cheap ass plastic aplenty. Oh, and let’s not forget the woefully underpowered, diesel smoke belching, way overloaded high-cube holding everyone up for 10 consecutive roundabouts at barely the speed limit, or God forbid the NL caravaner heading up the Alps pass.

Interior rattles
- Europeans: this is unacceptable
- Americans: Just turn on the volume of your radio or change to a louder exhaust
That’s a fair point.

What I found out is that the American consumer defends their American manufacturer at all costst. That's why American manufacturers get away with all this crap. Sometimes it gives me the feeling that these Americans are getting paid by Ford, Dodge, Chevy to defend it šŸ˜‚
Opines the guy who bought the car with the interior rattles that require you to turn up the volume to mask, replete with cheap ass plastic !

In Europe they give critical feedback and the manufacturer needs to listen and improve.
IDK, after my Ducati, I’ve been referred to as a ā€œEurophobeā€. But it was really that BMW that abs faulted on Susten Pass just outside of Andermatt that really sealed my distaste for European marque quality control.

It's not Ford that is lazy, it's the consumer who is defending Ford at all costs. Why should Ford step up the quality and all other difficult changes if they can make the car more expensive with less changes?
Exactly why we are all here on this forum.
