I’m planning to upgrade my rims and tires soon. I currently have the stock 19-inch wheels. For those who’ve switched from 19s to 20s — how’s the ride quality? Did you notice a harsher ride or any loss in comfort, or did it feel about the same? Appreciate your feedback!

I wanted some all-seasons for my non-hp Dark Horse so I switched to 20's with 285/35 & 315/35 staggered Continental DWS Sport 06's
I'd say with this size it absorbs bumps in the road better.
Looks way beefier than stock too. since it's 1" in diameter bigger it also raises the car 1/2" but fills out the wells nicely.
I'm happy with it for my winter setup.

So you can run 19s or 20s and be fine. It's all in the tire type, compound, etc. With that said, what type of driving do you enjoy? This can help with tire options.

Its my daily but I tend to drive it hard once or twice per day as well... What tires do you recommend for a say... 20 inch 11 inch wheel (Rears)?

Nice DH! I heard that 20s make the ride harsher but Thanks for the feedback. Much apprecited.

BVy driving it hard, do you mean like roll racing, twisty back roads, etc? Is this a A/S car too?

Thanks, all depends on sidewall of tire. Lower profile=harsher ride

No drag racing or track, but occasional pulls and having fun.

The michelin 4S is my go too. Rides great and good on the street. This is if you are N/A. Another cheaper but decent option is the Nitto 555R.

The sizes I suggest are:
275/35/20
305/35/20

Will a 20x11 with the 305/35/20 fit perfectly on a 24 Mustang GT? I am lowered 1 inch.

If you’re concerned about comfort, smaller wheels with more sidewall is always preferable. If you can fit 18s over your brakes, you should consider that. Larger wheels will always have a harsher ride Than equally wide tires/wheels of a smaller diameter.
