I see lots of “cold air” kits for our GT’s out there. I’ve yet to see a reason for them…

this morning I noticed something that most cars chase after BY going aftermarket…

Inlet Air Temp was actually cooler than the outside temp.

Bada$$ Job Ford

as a side note- just hit 1000 miles, and with the lower temps I will say she definitely is in a “mood” this morning… definitely waking up a bit more - loving this driving weather!!

We are fortunate to be able to take advantage of a Mustang that Ford has just about wrung-out every engineering system that is possible to without getting really exotic (and expensive). These Mustangs are really works of art that are a riot to drive.

So true. I remember back in the S197 days, the first thing everyone did was get a CAI kit and a tune because the cars were starving for it. It kind of kicked off CAI craze.

Now it's basically done out of the box. No need for intake upgrades unless you are going hard core. 😎

tore out the traps and added some Steeda High flows... thats all you need to do.
Asked my tuner if I should get a CAI , he said don't bother.

Agree, but if they're going to have a bigass computer, they need to speed it up.

Exactly what I did. Would like to see a smoother intake tube kit reasonably priced though just a looks thing.

Another thing I was impressed with, take the plastic cover off the rad area and you can easily clean all the bugs and crap out of the matrix.
Try that on a Euro.
Hmm. Never thought to look at that. It must be heck to be a bug. That's why there are so many of them I suppose.

Shortly after getting my car, I wrote to Ford and told them that a much faster processor was needed. If they are going to include the plethora of electrical gadgets and computer processing, then they need processors that can handle the requirements! Glenn

I guess I don’t understand what everyone is talking about. Seems fast to me… I came from a Subaru WRX tR Edition and that display would literally take a complete second or two between clicks on the screen to respond.

the Mustang is a breath of fresh air with its speed… maybe it’s just perspective?
