Hey guys I hate to say this but my brand new GT was hit by a stone on the windscreen yesterday when I was driving on the highway. It was damaged and needs a replacement.

I checked with the repair store they said the damage is too large to be able to get fixed. The only way is to replace it with a new windscreen. I don’t want to use an aftermarket windscreen as it may not be soundproof and affect other functions.

I’m located in Australia but I can’t find the exactly same OEM windscreen online for sale.

As far as I know it is a laminated Sound Screen with a pony icon on the left bottom side, and a Ford logo on the middle top.

Does anyone know where I can order the same OEM windscreen?

I realize it will be more expensive, but a dealer could be your best choice. Not only will you receive a genuine OEM screen, they'll have experience in how to install it and calibrate the electronics.

I checked dash cam unfortunately it’s not a stone chip, it was someone from the next lane deliberately throwing a stone and then hit my windscreen. Heartbreaking…

I feel for you. I’m on my third one since January. All rocks. All OEM. If you get any heat to it (like sitting in the sun) it will crack the whole windshield so be careful.

Thanks bro. Is the OEM windshield still Sound Screen with the pony icon and Ford logo on it?

Yes every one of them.

These windshields are super fragile, especially once they have a chip in it.
They are not dangerous, they just crack super easy.

Thank you. I might need to get it replaced as soon as possible. Do you notice any differences when yours is replaced? I’m worried the soundproofing effect will be worse after replacement.
