2025 EcoBoost - The car came with the standard 18” wheels, but I replaced them with the Ford 20x9 “Premium” wheels. Door jamb sticker only shows 32psi for the 18s…… does anyone have these wheels from the factory (they are optionally available)?

What is the recommended pressure for the 20” wheels?

My GT came with the OEM 20 x 9 multi spoke wheels and 265/35/20 Goodyear ASs. 36 PSI is the OEM recommended air pressure.

36 PSI. But know.....because my car came with 20" wheels, a metal cowl brace was installed at the factory.

Usually the cowl braces are plastic for 18 and 19" wheels....unless the car is a PP. but for 20" wheels they are metal.

How does the ride compare to the staggered 19" 40 profile set up?
My 19s are also 35 aspect ratio tires, Lou. They came that way as part of the wheel and tire package I bought. My "guesstimate" is they don't ride any worse than the OEMs, and they sure as heck stick much better due the larger contact patches and stickier rubber.

Yeah, I screwed up when ordering, didn’t notice these wheels available separately.

Do you have a picture of the brace or maybe a part number Is stamped on it where you can see it without too much trouble? I wonder if the factory one can be added, or maybe an aftermarket one….

These wheels look great, and even buying them separately as I did, the price is good. Ride is fine, improved handling a bit (shorter, stiffer sidewall helps), other than not having this brace (maybe not installed in EcoBoost anyway even with the 20” wheels), they are a nice upgrade.

It’s the wife’s car, other than anytime I might get ahold of it, it won’t be pushing any limits…. For her, 315hp is more than enough…. She’s happy.

A very worthwhile upgrade with the improved tire/wheel package.

I got a base ecoboost S550 for the wife years ago as a daily driver... first thing I did was put a set of PP wheels and tires on it along with the pictured strut tower brace. Now my wife is not a real car nut, though she does like my fancy and fast cars, but she noticed the handling difference right away. A couple years later I installed the FP calibration (without telling her), and she noticed the power increase, and asked if I did something to the car. All that being said, no reason to not give the ladies a boost in performance too!

Yep, now the challenge will be getting the part…. Listed as “Out of Stock.”

I requested notification when available, and might have the dealer place an order to signal demand in the system.

I can only assume the bigger wheels and stiffer tires put more of a flex on the chassis, which requires the strut braces. As pictured above, they only come as a set, so when I bought the strut tower brace I was forced to buy the set even though I didn't need the cowl brace as it was already installed.

Look on Youtube for install videos...it's fairly easy. The cowl brace will take more time.

I pulled the instruction sheet, the whole process looks pretty easy, it seems that the mount points on the cowl are there, just covered by the plastic trim under the wipers/ bottom of windshield…. It doesn’t look to be tricky in any way…..

Be careful torqueing the mounting bolts. Start at a lower figure and work up to spec.

26 ft./lb. for cowl bolts (that’s not particularly high…) and 41 ft.lb. for the shock towers…. Not “aped down” for either of these, easy day.
