I got my recall notice from FORD today on my 2024 GT Premium Coupe. They say they have the parts to repair the leak into the control module and I can schedule the service appointment.
I can imagine what my nice shiny black GT will look like once they do a water leak test and dry it with a shop towel.
They say the service will take a better part of a day.
My good friend who has a 2024 Convertible also got his notice today.

My recall letter came today too. Service scheduled for November 17 but I told the service writer that if it’s 40 degrees or colder that I will reschedule because of performance pack summer tires.

I got my letter the other day but I had my recall done last week drop my car off at 845 am and got it back around 2 pm my car was the 3rd one they did so they had the parts in stock. The service tech said it would take a while to get the recall removed from the app since it has to go through ford warranty.

I had my car in for some work - suspension noise (turned out to be a bad wheel bearing in driver side rear, replaced under warranty) and battery keeps going low (can't find any reason for that) and while it was there they took care of the recall. Open the hood and I can't see any evidence of the "repair" since it is all under the cowl coverings; I didn't have any leak they said on the testing, but the "repair" is done as a precaution.

Yes, I was surprised - but I knew that I was getting a suspension noise, first was a front strut, they replaced that but I could still hear something so back in and they found the rear wheel bearing issue.

Got the notice today, scheduled the work for Thursday Oct 23.

They checked for evidence of a leak when I had it in for oil/filter/etc., but that was before last weekend's rain. You could go a long time around here without getting the car wet except for washing it.

Mine was in the shop this week for an oil change and they dealt with the recall. It was in overnight.

The work order says, "Apply sealant to the vehicle (includes time to scuff and clean), perform water test, and inspect the BCM and connectors."

RE SEAL LOWER WINDSHIELD AND MOUNTS.

Passes corrosion/water inspection.

I was told they may need to replace the windshield which they didn't need to do.

And NO, they didn't wash my pristine car after their water test!!!

Good luck out there!

My local Ford dealership in Boston called me to cancel the Recall on the BCM check/replacement because they don't have a Body Shop. Now I have to call around to find a dealer with a body shop then re-schedule the recall service.

Why did they say they need a body shop to do the recall?
