Man it’s been a crazy couple of months.

Finally, after signing paperwork 2 months ago and having the dealer go get the vehicle- only to have a stop sale force the deal to be unwound, we were able to re sign today and pick her up:

My wife named her “Lightning McQueen”… I said- sure… why not? Anything to get her involved and loving it.

2025 Mustang GT
301A, Manual, Performance Package, Active Exhaust, Red Calipers…

Had D Plan through my son who is a Ford tech, plus the $3500 rebate, so paid just over $49k for the $58,600 MSRP Mustang.

I think that was a pretty good deal.

My wife giggled and smiled all the way home (hour plus drive), with the Active Exhaust in Track Mode the whole time.

What a joy to drive!

You're gonna love it. It is an awesome Mustang!!!
I suspect that my wife, who is not a car person, secretly loves driving our GT.
Congrats!

Congrats, love my Race Red. It's a head turner. I couldn't imagine any other color getting the attention this thing does.

The white stripes and silver rims are a killer combo with your red! What a gorgeous ride you have! Are you thinking of wrapping the body-painted spoiler? I’m going to get mine done…..need to break up the silver in the back…..either black PPF or maybe going for the ford performance gurney flap spoiler that is already painted in black….it’s just a little on the pricey side…about $1100 Canadian.
regardless, love your combo!

Great car and colour choice. I love my 2025 GT with the PP.

Thanks everyone - appreciate all the responses. Looking forward to a long beautiful friendship with this beast.

As an aside… this is pretty funny.
My lovely wife named the car “Lightning McQueen” at the dealership before driving / riding in it for a few hours this weekend.

I think she’s actually falling in lust with it.

as of last night she’s officially changed the name to “Red Sparrow” after the movie of the same name… because, and I quote, “she’s a baaaad bitch” 🤣🤣🤣

Congrats, that is a gorgeous looking car. Good call on the active exhaust, track mode is fun but there are times when the low end rumble is a bit too much for me. Normal mode still sounds great but eliminates the low frequency drone.

I also really like the PP spoiler. I recently swapped out my standard blade spoiler with a PP spoiler take-off I bought on ebay. Really happy with the overall look.

How much did you pay for that PP spoiler, if you don't mind me asking. Mine came with the '24 PP wing which I have recently replaced with an OEM HP wing. Figured I should sell it but not sure how much it's worth. Also just chucked the back seat, but not sure who would want that since it has the custom blue stitching from a Dark Horse.

I think I paid $300 for it, plus shipping.
