Brother, I bought and paid cash with my money for my brand new GTO when in college out of high school because I worked offshore summers starting at 17 (yes, illegal in age) making more money than I did for a few years out of college with an engineering degree and later a business degree. Some people just need to fill out paper applications for real work.

Anybody that wants to work that hard at 100 and 105 hour weeks for two weeks on and one week off for five summers in a row knows something about hard work and how to accumulate money and pay cash for things. No, I didn't do anything anybody else can't do today if they're willing to work and get paid well for it, and, no, I don't feel sorry for too many people with shitty jobs. It's called hard, smart work and saving money. THAT is how I buy Mustangs and everything else and that IS about discussing Mustangs that people whine about being too expensive, bro. BTW, Dave Ramsey never worked as hard as I have. He just penny pinched his whole life.

LIke the old Western Company bumper sticker used to say, "If you don't have an oil well, get one". Makes it easier to enjoy Mustangs.
Glad to see that you've missed my point entirely and responded to my post with yet another paragraph rambling about how hard you've worked to squirrel away enough money for your purchases. Remember when this thread was about the Mustang sales for September of 2025?

Maybe I'll go have this same conversation with the nearest doorknob; most likely a much better use of my time.

Probably so since you don't get it. Aren't you the one that brought up money issues which has nothing to do with Mustang sales?

August 0% interest rate may have pushed more sales to August? Did for me.

That SHOULD be a significant factor given how ridiculous interest rates have been for a while.

This says all anyone needs to know about the last time you looked for a job. 🤣
You're absolutely right.

I haven't looked for a job since my first, recurring summer college job or ever been unemployed since then, so, you're right. I started my own companies after a little engineering work and have never looked back or made less money than when I did working for "the man". It's so much more enjoyable and rewarding when working for one's self. In my case, it paid well and I enjoy helping my team members succeed as well.

Be dumbfounded, that's O.K. Again, I see more young people, potential Mustang buyers driving pickups and rice burners.
I agree that the S650 isn't a big improvement over the S550. My 2020 BULLITT was just right.
So, I have to ask, why did you buy one?

Really? I don't carry cash, but I have a tidy sum elsewhere. I think there's a few of us in here.
At least a few and probably more of us are here. I don't carry more than 3 to $500 which I don't consider a lot. If I need more, I write a check. If I need even more, I call my bank, if I need even more, I call my financial planner. I seldom have needs at this point. It was earned. Key word: earned.

I haven't written a cheque ( correct spelling) 😁 for over 20 years.
We're nearly cashless down here, everything is cards or online transfers. The Ford was bought with the deposit on a card, and the balance by transfer.
I try to remember to carry cash for tips, but it's a faff to go to an ATM, and banks are a literal waste of time.

I just write checks because I'm old fashioned and don't like online banking sometimes. I also don't like autopay. Nobody has access to my accounts but me.

Yep, send me a paper bill and I’ll have my bank send you a check. Autopay is a big no go.

Just saying... 1,803 units in USA
Also, even though there was a stop sale on Mustangs for the past month and a half, this isn't the lowest sales month for Mustang.

That belongs to the s550. Sold 1200 during a month.

Okay so can the two 70 year olds get off of writing checks and paying cash for cars in college because your worked so darn hard 50 years ago in a totally different economy when things were less expensive? Literally NOBODY CARES.

Let's get back on topic talk about mustang sales please.
