The Ford Performance oil cooler is a 2 hour job, including cleanup. To reach the more difficult housing bolts, use a 1/4" ratchet and extensions, and a swivel socket. I wouldn't use a 3/8" setup. The added diameter of the 3/8" extension, as it works up against other stuff, makes it harder to articulate. And, you can do it without removing the alternator.

I would note that you probably shoulnd't use a PP fender liner for the oil cooler vents. The PP fender liner has extra cutouts for the brake air duct and it is different where it connects to the bottom valance. You should just cut slats in the non PP liner.

But I'm sure that install doesn't include a computer update for the oil temp algorithm.

There's no way for that to be done yet, by an end user or the dealer.

Right. So basically you just gotta have faith the money you spent is working.

I've taken inlet vs outlet temps, on the cooler itself, and can see it working. You can also see the temp drop on the filter housing itself.

With a temp gun? At idle?

I have measured 148 vs 183 on the hoses coming out of the filter housing.
I typically see about a 25-30 degree drop across the cooler tubes, from one side to the other.

I'm working on getting data from a 4 channel thermocouple setup, and I'm hoping to get oil pan data too. I'll post more data then.

Actually it should be CASTROL. Ford of Europe uses CASTROL as an OE fill. Castrol 5w30 is on the heavier side of a 30wt and Mobil 1 is on the lighter side of 30wt.
FYI I have mostly run Mobil 1 all my life except for a few instances.
Castrol? You do understand it’s all advertising???
They don’t make their own oil bro.
They do not own a refinery!
They buy bulk from bulk suppliers.
They make it .
They designed it bro

Well that isn't really correct is it.

Castrol as a brand is owned by BP who do have their own their own refineries.
