Be darn glad you don't own a GM product with the 6.2L V8. Or a GM truck with the 2.7L HO engine. What the hey, an issue with the BCM is reparable in a matter of a couple of hours. Imagine how ling it takes to get a replacement engine from GM? Current V8 replacements are over 3 weeks, and the 2.7L over 5 weeks.

I just had windshield replaced on mine due to a rock hitting right in drivers side view.
$867 for Factory replacement, and ADAS calibration. Took them 1 hour in all.

Nice silver lining though. Rearview mirror no longer vibrates or shakes like before around 70+.

And how great would you feel with a brand new GM replacement engine?

You’ll be fine with a new 6.2 just run 40 or 50wt oil in it. As for the 2.7 who knows. I can’t think of a single GM 4cyl that wasn’t trash.
