Whipple on European model?

Can a Whipple or other supercharger be installed on an EU model?

EU models have a gasoline particulate filter (GPF) and lower horsepower, which could affect compatibility. When I bought a supercharger for my 2009 GT, Edelbrock didn’t provide a tune because my car was registered in the Europe. However, for the S197, there are many tuners available.

Steeda told me they are making EU package with tuning which will give more that 500HP on EU version, but also I noticed EU version with Whipple. If you are interested the best way is to ask Whipple directly.

no, but at least we will receive American HP and little bit more (with some Steeda parts and Steeda tune), now EU version is 40HP less

on a little bit older cars, they remove GPF/DPF and put tune... I'm not sure does this will happen with this version of Mustang or some parts of the ECU are locked and can't be tuned

It's not, it's how the "registration" is performed in US vs EU. The difference in HP at the wheel isn't appreciable. This has been noted with the S550, imported VS non-imported, in some configuration, with different HPs "on the paper" delivering almost the same power when measured on the dyno with the same fuel.
There might be some difference due to the GPF and some other tune related to the anti-pollution regulations applied in the EU, but the difference isn't of 40hp. It's myth.
Said that, I doubt that any tune could regain any "missing" 40HP (EU) using the same fuel.
