Let me clarify, my last 3 cars were a 2021 Porsche 911 turbo S cab with 650 hp. A 2021 Ferrari F8 Tributo with 720hp and a Tesla Model S Plaid with 1020hp.

Some life changes forced me to sell all those hot rods and this is my first sports car in 2 years. Now I do really like this car, it has a lot of nice features, looks great, sounds awesome but it just isn’t that fast. (Relatively speaking)

I will definitely be getting a supercharger sooner rather than later. Of course different strokes for different folks and I know for a lot of people 480hp is plenty.

The Tesla was crazy fast, drive to the drag strip on stock tires, run a 9.2 at 150mph in the quarter mile and drive home. It sure doesn’t have the sound and feel of a V8 which I love but dang it was so fun and so fast.

Flame suit is on let her rip!

Very little is going to feel fast on the street after driving a Plaid. The closest I’ve experienced is a Ferrari 296. It’s the only thing I’ve driven that felt like it had the same sensation of pull on the street as a Plaid.

Why would anybody flame you?

As you say, "different strokes for different folks". Isn't that good enough? I love the variety of what we can buy. I could have bought a much more expensive car, hotter car, but I've been there, done that and just have a limit on what I'm willing to spend on a "sports car". I don't believe in "garage queens" for me, for others, that's fine. Whatever floats one's boat is fine with me. We're all free to spend our money and time to enjoy whatever we choose.

I hope you enjoy that blown Mustang!

any internal combustion car is going to be a disappointment after owning a Tesla S Plaid

Nothing with wheels ( and no wings, slats or ailerons) accelerates like an EV, and the top of the food chain without going into hyper cars is the Plaid S

And as far as "sports" or performance cars go, you probably would have been better off in a mid level C8

Almost anything is going to feel not fast enough after the cars you've owned...getting the supercharger will help a bit.. cheers

Wondering what would some say after driving a BYD Yangwang U9 Track Edition
Could be a difficult discussion. Everyone will have to stop giggling before you can start providing them with details about your Yangwang.

I don’t really like new corvettes. A 1967 Stingray with side pipes YES!

I have owned a Dodge Hellcat and Demon. I really enjoyed both of those cars.

Although rebuilt after mere seconds on the engine let's not forget the fastest accelerating vehicle on planet earth has a supercharged V8 internal combustion engine (Top Fuel Dragster). There is no other vehicle of any type (not referring to max speed) that can get from 0 - 60 mph in less than a half second, 0 - 100 mph in 0.8 seconds +/-, 0 - 343.16 mph in 3.645 seconds (Latter is the fastest pass in Top Fuel history set by Brittany Force).

Not a fan of EV although I do appreciate EV performance. Just stating that an internal combustion engine holds the place as the fastest accelerating vehicle on Planet Earth. I do expect that will change in the future as EV some day will likely dominate racing of all types including drag racing. I hope this doesn't happen during my time here on Planet Earth.

What’s crazy about the plaid is how easy it runs a low 9 second quarter mile.

When I was growing up going to the dragstrip a low nine second car was completely gutted, tubbed, with a roll cage and built to Just go down the quarter mile.

Truth is, after hearing what other cars you drove...the GT will never feel fast enough even with a supercharger. I get it though as the GT feels underwhelming in stock form.

It doesn’t have to be as fast my other cars. But I do think 810hp would be just about perfect!

Check Autotrader Tesla Plade $66991 Miami Lake Automall. Maybe you can make a deal. Probably save bucks over the GT plus mods and still not be fast enough.
