Ok guys, enough good talk.
Time to derail again.
In front of the front tires are little air deflectors.
I hit a chunk of semi tire and lost the one on my drivers side.
What the hell are these called and where can I get a replacement?
Strake?

Is the hood visible through the vents on the ecoboost?
I was able to get him to send me a video. You definitely don’t see much of the hood. Fins do a good job hiding it

If I was going to put a hood vent on an Ecoboost, a great way to hide the hood under it is to get a small piece of matte black vinyl and apply it underneath the vent.

No judging from me, I had a fake 429 Boss hood scoop on my 06 GT…lol.

From watching water travel the length of my hood and to the windshield, none of the aero depicted in this pic goes straight over the car along the hood surface. I think the leading edge catches / disturbs the air quite a bit more that I initially thought it would. Most water drops will sit on the hood barely disturbed all the way to the cowl behind the vent.
That's because the high pressure areas on a "hood" are at the front and then again at the rear. Which is why the cowl (rear) has always been where the intake for interior ventilation has normally been.

Crunched hoods don't look very aggressive after hitting the barrier wall head on at 65mph. Been there, done that with "redneck leave the scene" help.

Damn Batman.. there is a LOT going on on there…. But it’s… all done in solid theme with some moderation. I dig that. Then the blue/gray side kick over there looking like robin ❤

Which hood is that on the knight?
So that’s actually mine and my gfs cars. She has the Shelby Super Snake hood from C2Customs. Was kind of surprised to see my pictures on a forum and I wasn’t the person who posted them.

Just out of curiosity, do you recall how long it took her to receive the hood from C2-Customs?
I ordered one from them at the end of June, they hit my credit card right away, and now 10wks later I can't seem to get a hold of him...

and still no hood.

Have you tried DM’ing them on Instagram? They post daily. So no excuse if they don’t see your message there

I have not, since I'm not on Instagram.
I actually try to avoid as many of the social media platforms as I can, but I have sent a couple emails regarding my order
In the past, on previous orders, he has been extremely prompt in responding to my emails; so this is starting to become a little concerning.

That’s right… I said it…. I HATE the style of this hood 😩

It just does not look…. Rawr a shit.
It looks neutered and that makes me sad.

What are some of the options out there that look a little more aggressive? What do you guys like?

I have zero experience with carbon fiber and painting. Can you paint carbon fiber parts like hood and fenders to match the car color?

The stock hood is a little plain for my liking also. There are a ton of aftermarket options but most of them are carbon fiber, with a couple that are fiberglass.

I'm hoping a good-looking and reliable aluminum one will be available at some point. Shelby will probably make their S650 super snake hood (and grille for that matter) available eventually like they did for the previous gen.

That sucks…you need to be more aggressive in contacting him. Worth joining IG to hit him up there. Just sign up with a private account. He’ll still see your replies and DM’s.

I’ve known people that made custom parts for cars. They get behind, either in workload or money and all of a sudden they are really hard to get a hold of. avoidance is a red flag.

Good luck!

Yeah, I'm probably going to have to bite the bullet and sign up, for nothing else but to have another avenue to try and get a response out of him.

I get that it's just one guy who does everything, but I've been emailing him for a couple weeks now. I'm really trying to give him the benefit of doubt and sincerely hope that I don't have to resort to dealing with my credit card company to try and dispute a charge that was made 10+ weeks ago.

The sad part about it is that, it isn't even the wait that's the problem here. It's the lack of communication and failure to give me any kind of expectation as to how long the wait might be. A simple response to let me know what's going on is really all it would take to diffuse the situation.

I’ve seen it happen time and time again, and it’s not a good sign.

The most common issue, is even though they mean well, they get upside down in expenses, and used your money to pay for the jobs that came before you, and shit just rolls downhill from there.

I’ve always been wary of “one guy” businesses. Nobody above him to hold him accountable.

Good luck, and if you don’t get a reply one way or another, you need to dispute the charge. CC company will try to contact him and if he doesn’t respond to them, You should have a case. CC companies do realize time can pass before a customer realizes he’s not getting his purchase.
