Question for all on PP conversion…….also rocket……that list of PP conversion parts needed is sweet. Nice work putting that together. I am am in a similar situation, I have a GT with AT, only has dumb switch park brake; it did not have PP at dealer, got a good deal so figured I would upgrade brakes later. I found a good deal on PP Brembo take off calipers and rotors. The fronts look straight forward, the rears have me worried. I found 2 rear knuckles at a junk yard from a wrecked s650 with PP, so can change the knuckles for the rears. My question is about the park brake. If I add the rear PP brembos and park brake calipers (from eBay as well), will my dumb switched park brake still work and not throw codes? Do I have to change out to drift brake with handle? the $1k and extra effort look too large, does anyone know if I can convert rears and not do drift brake adder?

the drift brake is just the standard Brembo parking brake with with the pull-handle instead of the little switch. you have to change some stuff in the ABS module, add some things to the IPC and APIM, then you have the drift brake. your parts guy was just saying stuff, the brakes act the same regardless of drive mode, but there are some setting in the ABS module that ask if there is brembos. in that spreadsheet under the "programming" tab, there's all the info you need for that

I want to add PP brembos to the rears. My car has the switch for park brake instead of the drift handle. I found a set of rear knuckles, brembo calipers, and park brake calipers from a wrecked s650 at the local junk yard.
1) Can I add the PP components to the rear not do the drift brake conversion? Will the park brake work with only the switch and not throw a code?
2) Any other upgrade suggestions for the rear you guys suggest? I have only the standard GT with single piston rears and 4 piston fronts. . I dont see any rear aftermarket kits and am afraid my parking brake with only a switch will prevent to PP rear upgrade. Front conversion to PP looks pretty straight forward.

yes, you can add the Brembos without the drift brake. Ford even does this from factory if you order a Mustang with the Brembos but not the performance pack. if you need some help, PM me

2020 F150 4x4 Limited. 2024 GT Mustang Premium. Both in Rapid Red.
got some bad news for anyone who was looking to do the drift brake conversion. it's very hard. and expensive. the wiring harness that connects to the little switch has much different pinning compared to the drift brake, and that harness is a huge one that spans the whole dash and center console. replacing it is nearly $800 in parts and many, many hours in labor as doing it requires removal of the whole dash. the wiring in question is the blue one in the picture below

plus, the ABS module looks for specific signals from the drift brake, as can be seen in the wiring diagrams below

basically, unless money is no object and getting a different Mustang with the drift brake is out of the question, it's not worth it.
I ordered a 2024 GT, Atlas Blue with the 401 -A without the Brembo Brakes.
I foolishly didn’t do my Homework.
I was thinking Money and didn’t realize some of the options weren’t that expensive.
After receiving the GT without the Brembo Brakes and doing some research on this Forum. I decided to look around and try to find what I wanted.
I couldn’t find a GT with the PP.
But,
I found a Rapid Red GT 401-A with the Brembo Brakes.
The Rapid Red GT matches our Rapid Red 2020 F-150 Limit. 3.5-HO will 450 Horses, 355 Rear End 🐎.
I did a Trade and almost got what I owed on my Atlas Blue GT.
It was sitting on a different Ford dealerships lot.
Made the Deal and I can say without a Doubt the Brembo Brakes are worth the money.
Good Luck with your decision 🍀
