Which one of those has a V8 and manual transmission?

If you miss that shit so bad, then go trade your car and buy one. 🙄

Although these points are valid most of these are not SUV’s and many are far most costly the a base 200a Mustang. The least expensive SUV is the Escape so based on your comment this is what I’m using as a comparison.

Agreed. But here’s the problem—while other Ford vehicles are getting more features, more tech, and more advancements every year, the Mustang seems to be losing things instead. That doesn’t sit right. I get that business decisions are involved, but let’s be real—if Ford can load up the Maverick, Bronco, Explorer, and Expedition with upgrades, why should the Mustang, the company’s flagship performance car (Other than the GTD), have features stripped away?

Because those vehicles sell a lot more than the Mustang. Because they are more profitable than the Mustang. Because there is far more parts sharing than with the Mustang. From a purely financial perspective it’s amazing the Mustang still exists. And to keep matters from getting worse (and to keep the bean counters happy) they have to remove costly features or make them optional.

But, that said, I totally agree with your sentiment. But a de-featured Mustang is still better than no Mustang.

I dunno…why did Ford opt to not put an $11 part in the Pinto to keep it from exploding in rear collisions?

Because the bean counters run companies. We should feel lucky they are still including the steering wheel. :cwl::crazy:
Don't worry, the engineers are hard at work figuring out a way to take the wheel away without the public rejecting the idea.

Because unlike those four SUVs the Mustang is its own platform and shares no parts with another car. That makes it more expensive to produce.

That was a much different time. The market was shifting and the Pinto was rushed into production faster than any Ford at the time. Plus auto safety standards where still in their infancy.

The "spare tire slime, Mickey Mouse compressor system" of dealing with a flat tire sucked and now, it looks like that is an option. WTH are they not thinking? They're asking for sales to drop even more.

So you would really consider not buying a car without the slime? How about all of us that bought the S550 without a spare tire? Didn't stop us and most of us would never use the slime anyway.

Many of the S550s didn't come with spare tires either due to brake sizing issues. This is not a new development.

Glad I have a 24 401A Ragtop

The deletion of Homelink is a head scratcher, how much can it be?

Before I wandered onto the Forums this morning my financial adviser, AKA Mrs Neggytive who has an uncanny ability to make money on stocks told me she was selling our Ford stock.

It has been a real dog IMHO, not enough gains/dividends to justify holding it.

Do I hold on to a stock with less than 6% appreciation in the last year, or buy some more of the one that has me up 36% in the same time?

Did anyone read where Ford is getting out of the "Hot Hatch" business in Europe?
Those are cars that historically have done well for them, but like everything else they screwed it up and are surrendering the market to the competition

Also BMW just announced that although they were discontinuing the Z4 in Europe but they are going to continue selling it in the USA because it is selling well her.

A fun little 2 seat ragtop. It is a car that many potential Mustang ragtop owners might consider as an alternative. Yes I know it is a Turbo 6 vs a V8, but apples to oranges it is a good alternative to the Mustang.

And Ford wonders why they are only selling about 45,000 gas powered Mustangs of all drive trains and trim levels.

BMW is selling about 67,000 Z4's
