Hi,
First post - shame it’s about a problem…
I’m in the UK and have taken delivery of my brand new GT Convertible (now with 500 miles).
At low speeds going over bumps there is an annoying squeak. It sounds like it is in the cabin to me - but a passenger says it sounds like it’s underneath the car.
Weirdly, the squeak goes away - in the main - after a couple of miles/when she’s warmed up… like a short trip out she’ll squeak. The trip back and the squeak goes away.
This lead me to believe that it must be something in the engine bay/underneath/suspension that is affected by warming up - if it was an interior or roof thing, it would be there all the time.
Squeak is there in the same place whether the roof is up or down.
Squeak is there in the same place whether the windows are up or down.
The squeak is there in different suspension modes.
The squeak is there with interior fans on or off.
I cannot get the squeak at a standstill by bouncing around inside the cabin or standing outside and bouncing the suspension. It only happens when I’m driving, seeming worse at low speeds (but that could be that the lower speed roads tend to be more bumpy).
Any ideas? Would appreciate the help!
Thanks
