I think the car is making amazing numbers on the dyno and the power curve looks very good. What I'm curious about is the details of built gen 4 5.0 motor. What exactly does that mean? IS that a forged rods and pistons job? And is there a crank support for thst Whipple PD supercharger flogging the crank like that? BTW, we all wanna save the manuals, and I'm 80k in with my MT82-D4 build, but it will never compete with this 10R80 build.

I'm curious what is meant by built gen 4 engine. What was done to it? Rods and pisstons?
Yeah they said it’s just a stock block with aftermarket rods and pistons, cheap to make that kind of power … amazing to see that 3.0 whipple can crank out that kind of steam… should be a LOW LOW 8 second car… between him and Aldo welds we should start seeing some 7 second passes this fall…. Which is plain fast as fxck!

no one cares about what gen 3 did, they never went 9s with whipples out of the box, or 8s without custom tuning and ridiculous fuel systems

the S650 put tuners in their place… I’m excited to see some new track times from tuned whipple cars now, I’m gonna have to dust the slicks off and take mine back out i suppose

This car has custom tuning and a fuel system does it not?

I do not know if you have a reading comprehension problem or you are so motivated to dispute whatever is posted that you are not slowing down actually to read it so that you can comprehend it. Read the post you quoted again, slowly, and then figure out why your question, "This car has custom tuning and a fuel system[,] does it not?" is not even related to the post you quoted. Slow down a little. Take a breath. READ. Pause. Think. Then, if you think you still have something worthwhile to post, reconsider, think about it again, and if it is still relevant, then maybe go ahead and post it. Don't just keep firing off non-thinking crap without bothering even to understand what the other poster wrote.

Easy buddy.

The point is this is doing the same thing as Gen 3 cars did

The s650 whipple cars did without because they didn't have any options. Nobody had to bother with the stuff they did because they had the option of tuning from the start. But this car has all the stuff they didn't have last year...so again what's the comparison?

You made the comparison and ignored it,
Gen 4 significantly outperformed what gen 3 could do without unnecessary tuning/fuel systems

Because the Whipple tune was hotter, and the gen 6 blower was a tiny bit better.

But, what does that have to do with the car that was posted?

OP posted a built motor car with a fuel system, aftermarket tune, E85, and asked "What are you guys thinking about this?"

Most of us are thinking, "Cool. It's great that they can tune these cars now."

The C8 ZR1 is running 1000 whp on pump gas. Totally different deal. This build does show how good the Whipple blowers are and how much power you can gain on E85. Kinda wild. IDK how many times you'd end up rebuilding 10R80s with this kind of power, but it's impressive and I'm curious about crank support.

Jeez Louise, that's almost enough power. You'd need your tyre guy on retainer.
Fill 'er up and 2 new tyres thanks.
