I have a 2024 GT Premium that I bought in July 2024. Over the past two weeks, I've been getting e-mails telling me that I need to set my car for updates. They say refer to Ford Pass. I did and not much made sense to me. I called Ford Customer Service and a gentleman walked me through the process while I was in the car with the screen on. Under settings they ask you for times. From what I understand there are updates than can come in as you drive and there are those that come in while the car is parked, windows up, and locked.
Battery must be over 80%.
Supposedly, you will get a warning that an update is coming. You will also be advised if the update worked or not.
Sometimes I wonder...
Has anyone else had this amount of fun?

Well, I've had things resetting...more often when I first got the car but seemed to be settling down. Just had them put a supercharger on the car Friday and figured everything would be reset with battery disconnect. But all seemed fine when I got it back. Checking deeper in the settings though my start in quiet mode settings had been cancelled, which I thought they might have done with the testing and tuning after the blower install, but my frigging ambient lighting color setting had also reset again to that default Amber color. So I dunno. I'll see if this continues!

This came on August 9th and updated while my car sat in the Parking Lot at work. I was really shocked since I haven’t received an update in A couple of months.

Do you realize that a warranty claim could be refused due to damage caused by not allowing the car to update? I understand the whole tracking thing with FordPass. But OTA updates to major electronic parts is a whole other thing. I’d certainly think twice about not allowing them.

If it self destructs it qualifies for a recall. Malfunctioning software is not the responsibility of the user.

What is the current version of software that's shown? I have my car set to update any day after 1AM but have seen ZERO notification of any updates?
