Taking delivery of my ‘25 GT 301A PP on Saturday.

My tire of choice has been the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season for its grip, ride quality, low noise and looooong tread life.

Anyone using these on the RDW Mustang platform? My previous cars were AWD…

OK. Apparently I have to be more specific:

what are your thoughts on them? Positive, Negative, etc etc.

🤦

thanks!

I installed them on my 2022 Mustang Ecoboost Premium Convertible and liked them very, very much in all aspects. Beat the heck out of the Pirellis that came on it in July 2022 — actually replaced them early!

I am very pleased with the Contis that came on my 2025 GT. Conti PRO CONTACT RX. Very comparable to the PS4 so far.

My wife’s Mercedes came with the all season PS4. I changed them out for the PS4S and noticed a big handling difference. But I can get away with that living with So. Cal. weather. Actually, we don’t have weather; just minor temperature changes.

Actually, I’m headed to Colorado later this week to drop my son off for his freshman year at the university. I’m renting one of the 7G mustangs just for fun. It will be interesting to compare the two, though EcoBoost to Shelby is a bit of a stretch..

I have used them and liked them, but, like you, my experience is limited to AWD. Like 350 Feet, I liked the Pilot Sport 4S better.

Had the PS A/S 4 tires on a '16' EB for 4 years, currently have them on a Porsche 981BS with about 4k on them.
The good:
Excellent steering response, lots of grip in wet/dry and cold conditions. A firm ride which seemed to get firmer with age.
Noise was minimal for the first 10K, but become noticeable as the miles added up.
With 25K on them I was still around 6/32 tread when I traded the car..
Snow traction was decent in light snow--had a set of blizzaks for the heavy stuff.

The Porsche feels rock solid with these tires-- they compared favorably to the Conti Extreme Contact Sport tires they replaced in dry and wet traction, with better steering response.

The bad:
As the miles added up the noise that would show up on some pavement would be annoying as would the harshness in the ride. The car still would stick to the road but had I kept the car I would have replaced them that had a quieter ride and something a bit less harsh--like the Conti DWS 06.

Thanks for the insight. I had the Sport non all season on my 2018 SS 1LE and loved them, just ran through them every 10k miles

Appreciate it. Gives me something to think about!

I have the performance package on my 2024 so have the Pirelli summer tires (and a set of wheels and snow tires for the winter). On July 3 I picked up a nail in the edge of one tire, too close to the sidewall to repair so had to replace. Of course no one carries the summer performance tires in stock, they have to be ordered.

Discount Tire put the Michelin PS4 all season tires on, and told me if I didn't like them I had 30 days to come back and get something else.

I tried to like them. But while they were quieter than the PIrelli (which I hated from day one), the car felt like it wandered as soon as I hit 50 mph or more. It never tracked straight, I was constantly correcting it. The unstable feeling was too much.

I now have the Continental Extreme Contact Sport O2's on the Mustang. I'm much happier with these. The car tracks straight, they are nice and quiet, and today in the rain they were very stable. But they are summer tires so in the fall I will have to swap tires and wheels still.

Yikes. I would not agree to with that at all.

i remember my 2022 EcoBoost (before i got my Dark Horse) had Pirelli P-Zero tires on it. after six or so months of driving until i traded it in, the tires were apparently feathered and had to be replaced during used vehicle reconditioning. plus, you get absolutely no treadwear warranty on them, where Michelin and Continental you get 30k miles for a square setup and 15k for staggered on their summer tires. bottom line is: don't bother with the Pirellis. get a good tire instead. i'm sure at least one of their tires is good, but it's certainly not good for the Mustang
