Who's used ceramics on a street car, and how are they?

Correct. OEM pads on the Mach 1 and Dark Horse, both regular and HP, are Ferodo 2500's. Lots of dust but are a terrific "beginner" pad on the track.
Edit: Ferodo DS2500
The back of the OEM pads have both the Ford part number and Ferodo's.
Aren't they AKEBONO?

On my 24 performance pack GT they were Akebono
I changed the front and rear pads on the 24 DH with PowerStop Z23 or Z26. I've used them on all my Mustangs and have never been disappointed.
I've got the carbon ceramic Power Stop pads on my car and they're great. Much less dust than OEM pads. I also used Power Stop pads on my Z06's.Who's used ceramics on a street car, and how are they?
AS much as I prefer to change my own brake pads and rotors when needed, I'm hearing the swap out on the 24's is a real PITA. Quandary![]()
Thanks for the helpful update. In the pic above where you’ve got a blister/picked up some additional rubber on the tyre, does this last long or does it get worn down/away once back on the road fairly quickly?
Extra rubber, not blisters, took that pic when back in carpark, was surprised how sticky these got when heated up, how quick they fall off when they overheat....... between sessions I did not notice, no tell tale vibrations either, but you could hear slot of pickup hitting body work first hot lap so think that's where the rubbish was letting go when tyre heated up, there were 60 cars cycling through the sessions, so there was a bit of rubbish offline. Thanks for the helpful update.
