roadpilot is an acquired taste but you'll grow to love him over time like the rest of us. He may be a little direct but he knows his stuff. 😉
Agreed! He is sort of like that one uncle that has no filter and A LOT of strong opinions... he will talk down to you but at the end of the day, a holiday dinner would not be the same without him around. Thanks RoadPilot! :giggle:

Dropped my car off at the dealer for a few things I’ve noticed so far:
(300a 2024 GT 6m)

  • Driver’s side bumper sagging
  • Pop-up warning for front camera failure
  • OTA (over-the-air) updates not working at all.
  • Chrome peeling/chipping inside the headlight housings
  • Headliner not lining up properly with the window gasket—noticeable gap there

Anyone else seeing these issues? I know the bumper sag seems pretty common. Hoping the dealer takes care of all this under the bumper-to-bumper warranty. My service advisor was actually super helpful, so fingers crossed.

Yeah, about the only issue I’ve seen on my dark horses, when I mash on the gas pedal it goes really fast.

Clearly, I was correct: You don't understand how the OTA process works. Use the SEARCH function.

Sorry, no hot cocoa or therapy dogs here.

I defended you in the other thread, but no amount of whining is going to stop me from stating obvious facts.
Holy hell man. Ego much?

The headliner/window gasket thing goes all the way back to the S550. It's super common. The window gasket actually holds the headliner up on the sides. Usually you can just tuck it back under the gasket and it will stay. If it keeps falling down, take it to the dealer and they will replace the gasket. 👍🏻

I've never heard of the chrome in the headlights peeling before. I'd definitely have them replaced under warranty.

I guess everyone's looking at their headlights now.

Yeah the window gasket thing was the same on my old 2015 GT. I would just run my finger through the gasket and it would sit back right.

It feels like on this one the headliner is cut to short or is shifted way to far the other way. (If that makes sense)

I hope they replace the lights. I purchased the extended warranty and lights are not covered unless you purchase a separate rider for very little $. Not sure about the first 3 years standard warranty.

Really? How does an extended warranty not cover the headlight housing?

If the box is not checked in the policy when purchasing the Ford extended warranty your lights are not covered. There are also several other boxes for other options that you can choose for extra coverage like fobs etc.

Based on what? These aren't cell phones. You don't get to press a button and the car updates. It can be days, weeks, or even months between OTAs being sent to your vehicle. I suggest you read upon how it all works -- we've discussed it all ad nauseam on here and the F150 forums.
Dude, you sound like a dork.

It was an honest question. I would bet my life that you've had dumb, silly, or ignorant questions in the past.

You give off the same vibe as redditors who are able to recite a spec sheet without any critical thinking about what the contents inside actually mean - Sounding smart, condescending, and superior is pretty much where it ends.

Computers are an incredibly touchy, complicated, and somewhat unpredictable technology. No matter how much they streamline them for the public, there is an inherent lack of consistency to them that can lead to legitimate questions such as Zerks.

Get off of your high horse.

So update from Ford service at my local dealer the service advisor sent me this via text:

"yessir fault messages and auto updates were due to battery, battery still tested good but state of charge was low so we charged, and reset the system. Good to go there. We have a p/s headlamp on the way and there was a TSB from ford on the headliner. The only thing I dont have figured out is the gap between the headlights and bumper."
