Ford doesn't manufacture the vast majority of components that go into thier vehicles ... but that's irrelevant.I doubt Ford makes the A/C compressor that caused the belt to break. Welcome to the global parts supply.
Yes, they put me In a courtesy 2024 F150 as soon as I dropped off the stang. All is well. But a part that is not obtainable by a major dealership? Cmon Ford!"Damn Marty, sounds like Ford is in a pickle. Well to make matters easier for you guys you can put me in a rental / courtesy vehicle until the parts arrive. I'm easy going like that. I'll be in tomorrow to pick it up".
Apparent;y more problems than the fan belt.My 2024 Mustang GT Premium, a/c belt broke with 14,000 on the odometer.
It's currently at a Ford Dealership I bought it from. It's been 2 weeks sitting at a shop. Anyone have this or similar issue? I'm just documenting, thanks.![]()
Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.My 2024 Mustang GT Premium, a/c belt broke with 14,000 on the odometer.

I hear you, no one cares. It's the same on the autobody side. Every customer complains, like we make the parts. Just recently we are on 2nd fender that was poorly manufactured on a 2018 Tahoe. Factory part mind you. Insurance company doesn't care. Heaven forbid that poor flate rate tech had to deal with it, he's loosing money. I've been in the industry for 39 years. Wonder why we can't find new techs. Engineer's come up with this shit and never touch a wrench. It's frustratingI have not seen any Mustangs with this problem, but '24 F-250 and F-350 trucks have compressors failing at an alarming rate, and of course no parts available.
I curse the suppliers who provide this rubbish, then I think they are only building items to the specs that Ford gives them, so then I curse the engineers.
My experience over the last 5 years is that no one cares. We have this dash module, the APIM, and I have some vehicles that are on their 3rd on in the 5 years that I've been here. Poorly engineered or poorly built, that plenty of time to correct whatever is wrong, and no one does, or even want to talk about it.
Nope. 10 years.Parts are already being discontinued and unavailable as part of planned obsolescence.
Customer: A/C compressor failed on my 2024.
Ford: Please purchase a 2025.
