Creak and Squeak Mustang GT 2024 Australia.

My 2024 GT was delivered to Australia April 2025 after 6 months of sitting on docks and quarantine delays. Ever since I picked it up, there is a creak and squeaking emanating from the rear suspension, particularly at low speeds. The dealer claims there is nothing wrong with the suspension. However, I drove their Mustang GT 2024 loan vehicle for a week, which was silent compared to mine. I have no idea what to do now as the dealership have seemingly washed their hands of the issue. I’m almost regretting my purchase. I even played a recording of the noise.

Put it on a lift and "target spray" some GT85 liberally where you think a squeak could possibly come from and I bet you kill the squeak by the next day without making a mess. That's some good shit on stuff like that. Something has probably dried out or corroded just enough to drive you nuts while it was on the dock.

DHL, I had a similar problem with mine, but it sounded like it was coming from under the rear seat and could only be heard at very low speeds. This issue has also been flagged elsewhere on this forum and I gather is quite common. Dealer test drove and ‘lubricated rear seat latches’ problem fixed! Hope this helps

Dead right. Spray all the rubber stuff, and look for any metal bits that have contact marks on them.

There was someone on the forumns that had a bad right rear shock making squeak noise. Dealer replaced under warranty. Ford has special equipment to find these type of issues. Dealar needs to get off its ass and fix it.

Mine had the creaking sound which sounded like the suspension at low speeds. Lowered both rear seats down and the creaking went. I wrapped some insulation tape around both of the latches where the rear seats clip into and no more creaking.

There are 2 adhesive pieces of insulation/foam to the left and right of where the seat clip is. They are between the plastic and the metal leading into the trunk, to dampen vibrations or whatnot.... Those pieces of foam got unglued, and shifted downward, and were now squeaking. All I did was re-glue them with Gorilla glue for left and right seats, and the annoying squeaking went away.

It sounded like 2 pieces of Styrofoam being rubbed against each other under certain conditions. Ultimately it was caused by the ... 2 pieces of foam rubbing against the plastic/metal, since they had shifted.
