I ordered a part ~2 months ago. Was told it was on national backorder with no ETA.

A couple weeks after I ordered it, I received the part.

So, yes, sometimes people DO care and DO put more than 2 minutes of thought into it.
I'm curious did you go back to the same dealer? If you did sounds like their parts man was sleeping. But I am of the opinion that people who care started dying off about 10 years ago. But at least you got your parts.

"Ignore" is a good option here. Some people in the industry think they know everything. As someone who's fixed their mistakes the past 40 years, it's a lot of hot air and ego and you'll always run into one on an internet forum.
Except I DO know far more about our products that you do.

Nobody fixed our mistakes because they weren't our mistakes. Swing and a miss.

Another thin skinned one bites the dust!

I only used one dealer. I ordered it from varsityfordparts.com, which is actually a local dealership for me. They notified me less than 2 weeks after the initial national backorder/no ETA e-mail to tell me it was there and ready to be picked up.

Wow that sucks they didn't even call you. Like I said know one cares anymore.

Oh, no, I was perfectly happy.

Within hours after the order was placed, I received the e-mail that it was on B/O.

When it came in, they e-mailed me right away.

No need for phone calls here ...

Like I said I'm glad you got the parts in the end.

I had the left rear outer half shaft boot defective with hole in it. Grease everywhere. Lucky the replacement came in a week. The tech made a few mistakes, chipped the red paint off the Brembo calipers. Over torqued the lugs and left a bolt half out.
Great service.

Hey, but those dealership techs know more about those components than the folks who manufacture them, right? :giggle:

Does it look like one of these? :)

As the dealer to give you the P/N you need, @Conde_06
