Test drove that blue beauty, Manual Base w/pp, salesman let me really drive it and all I thought was I invested too much into my Bronco for it to be worth trading in, otherwise place an order for the vert pictured with PP & Bronze package

any weaklinks to be aware of, as I plan on joining someday

No wink links… it’s basically an S550 2.0 which means proven drivetrain… proven car. I would buy first year without issue.
Yeah, the first year thing doesn't apply as much these days. I own a maverick hybrid first year, and it's been virtually flawless. That thing is on most reliable affordable car lists.

I expect similar results for the mustang. Ford's taking the Toyota approach now. They invested in a complex series of engines years before the competition did, and now, can simply perfect and improve existing designs rather than rushing out something all new.

Every time I pull up to a Bronco.... I feel like having a better time.

I've bought at least five first year (new generation) vehicles in the past 13 years alone:

2011 Explorer
2015 F150
2017 F350
2021 F150
2024 S650

All have been great. The first year new generation thing is largely overblown. It used to be a thing, but not in a long time.

Agreed, unless it's a completely new product, on a completely new chassis and drive train, no worries.

No worries, new gen not an issue like the old days. I bought an 84 Corvette, that was a nightmare.

I am sure MY24 will have it's share of recalls, all to be expected.

2 weeks into my GT Convertible, and there is one annoying issue. There's an intermittent subwoofer-type sound that occurs at all speeds under 70 MPH. I removed the subwoofer, but that didn’t change anything. Ford service rep is scheduled to check it out next Wednesday.

I meant like clutch lines and little mods to address things

if I had the $$$, place an order. Had a ā€˜16 EB Mustang vert and ā€˜21 Bronco, love Fords, just was looking for recommended first mods besides tint

Well, that depends. I don't think anyone has had any major issues, just fit and finish type stuff mainly. Mods, all depends if you like a factory look or aftermarket (wheels, tires, lowered, etc...). Then, it comes down to how fat your wallet is 😁.

See chassis fixes. And I hate to say it if you tossed away $$$$$ at the perf pack but decent suspension in the form of Bilstein dampers.

I would instead skip the PP1 and just line item the brembos.

I'm curious, do you still own your 2011 explorer? We have a 2017 explorer with the duratec 3.5. it's been insanely reliable over the last nearly 9 years. But I'd be curious to see how even older versions of the same generation are holding up.
I've heard the water pumps can be a bit iffy. But that seems to be more of an issue when you drive them hard, and doesn't seem to be a very common problem relative to the millions of cars with that engine that exist.
