My dealer was never helpful. Always too busy. Made me feel bad for asking. It's no surprise that they damaged the car once it arrived.
That stinks! Have you used them previously? The only issue I had was the strakes/air deflectors we're not installed when I picked it up. They're takingvcare of it tomorrow.

i wonder how something like this would hold on through time.

I have grey duct tape over both holes and it’s held up for 2500 miles and 5 months.

Do you mind sharing a pic of how you taped it.
Am curious if i should tape sideways or front to back. As i noticed the sides of the hole are not aligned, outer side is slightly ahead of the inner.

That beats a $100 fix.
Yes. I don't like the fact I have duct tape on a brand new car but I’m deciding on the van kit or coming up with my own solution.

Below is why am asking. Notice the difference in alignment of the left and right edges.

I will when I get home.

Thank you
It is indeed disappointing having to DIY fix for a design flaw. But i guess it’s better than collecting rocks rattling in side skirts.

I was just reading this thread and was going to ask the same question you just did. My car is built just awaiting shipment to my dealer which is only around 30 miles away so it should show up quick once it finally ships. Another member mentioned using this tape (which seems very similar to yours) so it's what I grabbed. I'll see how well it works until I decide on a more permanent fix.

If you're not going to use the DIYVan fix, then I strongly urge you to use (wide) Flex-Seal tape. That shit is completely waterproof and sticks to everything. You can even apply it when things are wet. It stays put. I cannot say the same for duct tape, including that Gorilla Tape -- which is exactly what I used on mine and that DID fall off at some point during my ~300 miles on the vehicle (I installed it when dry).

DIYVan fix seems way overpriced, abusing the need for a fix is simply greedy. That solution ain’t rocket science, and it solves 2 holes by poking a hole in the pocket …

I plan on using Gorilla Tape from the dealer and then applying the DIYVan fix when I get home.

My Gorilla tape fell off, likely on the ~60 mile drive home from the dealer. Just FYI.
