Interesting that Production was down for January from December despite the plant being shut down for 5 days in December. Or am I misreading the data?

Within 50 miles of me 10 dark horse on the ground no action dealers not even asking over retail which means you can walk in and get 5-7 percent off GT 8-10 off already on websites

Travel out of state spend 1000 on shipping when I bought my ram TRX two years ago. I bought it in another state everybody was paying over sticker. I got $11,000 off sticker cost me $700 to ship it two years later I’m seeing the benefits of that cause it’s basically worth what I paid for it as a trade. My dark horse being built in feb got order at msrp 10 months ago gonna negotiate that down on delivery, I live in wi, bought my trx in Iowa

I’d love to know what Ford’s internal forecasts for the S650 are. When you compare it to the last new generation, S650 sales are down quite a bit from the S550 when it was new. The data I found showed that sales for the 2018 refresh, while lower than 2015 sales, were still higher than S650 sales. It’s a different world now for sure, but the S650 is now essentially the last man standing and it still doesn’t seem to be making waves…

I'm new to this process not having ordered a vehicle since 1966. What gets me is the backlog of S650s waiting to be scheduled. This reports the January sales are down from December, but so is production. That doesn't make sense to me especially as the factory was shut down between Christmas and New Years.

Same! A couple of dealers have a +$10k market adjustment but most are at MSRP.
Quite a few of the DH had been available for 4-6 weeks.

If that’s the case they can buy from dealers in other states with cars available that will sell at window or below

I don't understand why Ford doesn't advertise it. Has anyone seen an "all new redesigned Mustang" commercial?

I don’t think I have. It launched with significantly less fanfare than the S550. Maybe they just left promotion up to all the influencers… 🙄

Same. I see commercials for explorers, broncos, and f series trucks everyday.

Unfortunately the numbers should be way higher with a new gen.

Unfortunately ford didn’t learn from the Camaros mistake of being much too similar to the prior generation.

the performance from the s650 just isn’t any better than last gen either.
It’s kind of a strange time.

The mustang needs to be so much more than it is right now. Ford has gone to great lengths to develop other vehicles and market the heck out of them. With the mustang, they just coasted, gave the old platform a facelift and thought that be enough. So lazy.

especially in this day and age, the mustang needs to make a case for itself. The exterior needs to be awesome. Not polarizing. The performance needs to be leagues ahead of the competition. The interior should inspire, not just carryover some of it and slap some screens on.

Right now there are a lot of vehicles on the market that look great, go fast, and handle well. The mustang can’t be what it was before. It needs to be better. Great even.

Look at the effort Chevy put into the c8 vette. A niche car if there ever was one. But they really cared, swung for the fences and it shows. The mustang by contrast is last gen underpinnings, a facelift that is fairly mid and performance thst is either the same or worse than last gen. That’s not right.

ford has the true American dream car snd they’re letting it languish. Perhaps it was to dim the lights do the Mach e could shine more. Who the heck knows. But it’s awful to see. I get there’s love for the dark horse but in reality it should have been the GT at minimum.

the mustang has an uphill battle. Give the thing some world war winning battle gear for crying out loud.
