9secondco and Mustang1987 you guys are making some good points, but forgetting to look at the numbers of the Charger and Challenger cars over the last 20 years on the old platform. From year to year these cars did not get new platforms and large R&D from one model year to the next, but they kept selling well year over year to the die-hard crowd that loved the old look.

The mustang is an ICONIC vehicle and Ford knows this and the fact that now with Camaro and Challenger no longer the players in the market Ford can play the game any way the wish. Regardless of looks of any sports car, the DH model with the V8 and the HP numbers could easily be priced higher and it would still sell just fine around the world. Why because as is designed it is an amazing value for the dollar today.
