That’s code for you aren’t getting ~ 20HP/torque out of a car with nice flowing dual intake already.
I’ll wait until someone independent does some testing, until then I’ll save my $700 which is better spent elsewhere

edit: it even says estimated based on similar vehicle. lol

Easy enough to swap when going into the shop? No programming required. Wouldn’t mind seeing some installed pics and or a black version. Also appears to replace / eliminate the boxes and therefore the snorkels on the nostrils?

If the tubes were made of carbon would that satisfy the emission requirement for the carbon trap?

Talk about misrepresentation. Exactly how do you guarantee an estimate?

Possible warranty issue here? Is there a carbon filter in the new tubes?

Note: "Not street legal in all states". Is this because it is not legal in CA? Needs clarification.
While agreed. Emissions proves to be elusive element. More or less comes down to you can’t mess with anything emissions related unless it is due to a defect or damage and when replacing it needs to use the stock equipment as long as the vehicle is not grandfathered and or classified as an antique.

Exactly! Modern air intakes aren't the restrictive units of old, and this one is open which is going to let in more heat than the stock intakes.

Yes, I saw that. However, what will Ford say?
Honestly I do not recall ever reading thread about a warranty claim refusal due to a non turn CAI system. That and K&N is a well known and respected supplier to the automotive industry. I wouldn’t be concerned about warranty issues.

I have no doubt that this will gain power (not sure about the estimated gains) with the hood up and filters exposed to cool fan air. With the hood down and 90+ degree F in the summer here in upstate SC, throttle response and power may suffer. As it sits, the stock intakes on a stockish car should flow plenty. The stock airboxes are fairly tight around the stock filters so that may be the only advantage with the open element with heat shield setup. I have K&N drop in's already so I think I will pass on this one. Should look nice though if the design is your jam.
