At 2:24 he mentions that the Dark horse is equipped with a wireless charger? Is this accurate?

I do believe they had it for 2024, then killed it. IMO, for two reasons.

https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/th...leted-wireless-charging-for-s650-my25.168251/

- The complaints of performance. And the liabilities. It can get hot. It works well if the surfaces are flat and paired well. Otherwise, not so much. Charing [Charging] :giggle:time or ability was not what people expected. No everyone understands induction and how that can affect electronics. I'm sure more than one person has damaged their fob by placing it on or near the pad

- Cost-cutting

I'm not tracking other manufacturers and if they are removing these systems. But I am aware of similar complaints of these pads in other vehicles. Wireless charging reads well. Real-world performance isn't what it's cracked up to be.

It was most certianly a cost cutting issue same as home link and illuminated door sills. As for the functionality complains, thats a symptom of people's unrealistic expectations of how induction charging works. By design its not the same nor was it ever meant to be a fast charger. Its a convenience feature thats meant to maintain your phones power while you are connected to bluetooth and apple car play. Its was never designed to fast charge a phone with a low battery. Fords version was slightly flawed in that it didnt have the feature to shut the chargers off when the phone got too hot the way others do in manufacturers like Hyundai and Toyota. Compared to my Hyundai its only slightly slower charging wise. Ill still take it over nothing. They are still pretty much standard on most modern cars.

Why not use the USB port for charging. That is what I used in my 2020 GT500.

Its perfectly fine. Some people dont mind plugging in. I personally dont like the clutter of messy cords in my car if I can help it. On the S550 android auto and apple car play were not wireless so you were forced to plug in.

Yeah, the wireless charger would be nice, but I really wanted the Home link as I use a garage door opener and love just pushing a built in button the open and close the garage. My '25 DHP has it and I'm so glad I got it. I was disappointed to hear it went away on the '26s.
