After 22 years I finally own the car I've always wanted. Picked up a 2026 Mustang GT. It has cloth interior, 18" wheels, and might seem bare bones to some but it reminds me of the 1990 Fox body that started the obsession. I have a build in mind but want to do it right. I want to swap the stock exhaust, lower it, keep the stock wheels and offset them just enough to give a more squared off, boxy look. My question...
Stock wheels are 255/45/R18. I want to keep the stock rims but change the rear tires to a little wider. Maybe 265, 275, 285, IDK but I'm wondering if anyone has done this and what was the widest rear tear you could fit with the stock wheels and no rubbing/cutting required? I want to lower the car just a little to more of a street stance so I'm wondering if anyone has any rec's for a lowering kit and wheel spacers to sit the stock wheels flush at the body. If you have any pics of yours please post or send.
