Why Ford Chose the Pony Over the Dark Horse Logo!

I’ve wondered many times why Ford didn’t put the Dark Horse logo on the key or the seats.

I actually tried placing the logo on the key just to see how it would look, and honestly, it looks like a “Dodge” for me; I didn’t like it. I think that might be the reason why they chose the pony, maybe..

As people mentioned above; costs. HOWEVER you can buy Dark Horse keyfob covers like these (I have a set). I actually like it, as did the service manager who arranged my supercharger install.

Cost isn’t just the part, but also the complexity it adds to the plant. I retired from the battery supplier, and since the Dark Horse isn’t start stop, it doesn’t require an AGM battery, but it does come with one to reduce plant complexity. To be honest, I would rather have an AGM battery than a Dark Horse logo on the key fob. Just my opinion.

People said the same thing about the Mach 1 logos. At the end of the day, these are all Mustangs. I think some people over inflate the exclusively aspect of these trim levels.

I often refer to my car as the worlds fanciest rental car lol I mean you can rent a car that looks just like all of ours in all the major airports lol

No, it's not an exclusive car.

I bought the keyfob because I like it but more importantly so I don't grab the wrong keys for the wrong car
