Forget the configurator as it has a number of errors.

I believe the base (600a) DH gets cloth but the Premium (700a) gets Dinamica seating surfaces with fake leather on the bolsters, sides and backs.

Cloth is really better as it holds you in place better and shows less wear. Ford always uses the cheapest leather around and it will be begin to wear at 5k miles.

The Boss 302 was only cloth, as were the Recaros in the 350. Mach 1 should have been all cloth as well.

I feel like it all depends on how you maintain it. I am at about 25k miles on my vehicle, and it still looks new on the inside lol.

After owning cars with different types of leather, cloth, and alcantara, have to agree with you. Leather looks like shit after about 40-50,000 miles and gives you back sweat. I'd prefer a leather/alcantara hybrid but would be happy with a cloth combo too

That's why I went with Katzkins on my 2020 GT. However to get the better interior materials minus the seats, you need premium. This is going to really be the deciding factor for me. How I feel about the materials. If the same quality of the S550, it could be a hard sell.

Very true.
Almost all of my F-150’s have been Leather.
The King Ranch use to be the only one
With complete Leather seats. Top, bottom and Sides, full Leather Hides
Those all Leather seats took some maintenance to keep them looking good and smelling like real leather.
The DH, simulated leather are difficult for me to slide my Skinny Butt across.
They have a material that Glues your rear end to the seat.
This doesn’t represent Union or Management!

My Corvette leather was junk after 5,000 miles, I replace with new leather that has held up well over the past 12 years. Very happy with my Dark Horse seats and well as my S550 California Special seat, both are similiar in material. Our daughter has a 2022 Mustang Convertible with leather, and she prefers my seats.

Bought a brand new 2002 Dodge Ram pickup back in the day. It was the first year of the new "semi-truck inspired" Ram pickups.

Anyway, I wanted leather, but the only way to get leather from the factory meant you had to get all this God-awful woodgrain dash and door panel inserts everywhere. But if you ordered the fabric interior, you got all the trim and dash in black/CF type stuff.

My not so cheap solution?

Before I picked it up from the dealership, I had them send it over to ASC Sunroof (OE manufacturer of sunroofs and all kinds of interior bits for a bunch of different brands). They took all the seats out, ripped ALL the fabric off, and replaced everything with leather. Not just the seating surfaces (like most cars do these days, with fake leather everywhere else), but EVERYWHERE there was fabric, it got leather. Even the center console lid. They even sewed in a custom logo of a ram into the driver and passenger seats. It looked awesome!

When I sold that truck 10 years later, that leather interior looked as good as it did the day I picked it up from the dealer.
