You spoke first about Tesla's in general.

Then you said ludicrous Tesla will blow away a GT500 any day.

Then you said the Harley is a closer match.

I don't think the Harley is a closer match to a GT500.
Pick it apart however you want man. I was just shootin the shit and telling a story.
Motorcycles get off the line faster all the time , even a modern $30k bagger Harley .
Point was anyone around here with their $50-$100k Tesla that lines to go fast purchased the ludicrous upgrade.
im done with this debate. Have a nice night

Lol, I don't want any debate. I just find it funny that we use all possible arguments to justify a loss when we lose a race against another vehicle and at the same time we celebrate a win over something else without beeing that strict anymore by not using the same criteria.

Good night lol

had some kids pull up tonight at a large 4 way. (like evolving country town wants to be a city 4 way). beat up white toyota corolla. im in the middle left turn lane. hes in the right turn or straight across lane to my right. McDonald's straight across. he revs it up. i rev it up. windows roll down and we exchange glances. i say " hey man. light turns green we race to McDonald's. he says "spin em up" i say "bro theres a traffic cam recording us from the pole straight across. that's a wreckless opp in the middle of town and i carry two commercial insurance policies." i turn left he turns right. good times.

I get that from young punks in their loud raspy mustang. They pull up and want to race my DH-P. I put my arm on my door and the see my rank and make the next turn off. Loud and raspy doesn't mean much, especially from a beat up car. My car may not have much HP now, put it's not stock and it can seriously move.
its usually S550s, probably with a Borla Atak cat-back and headers. toneless and blindly loud, maybe not even tuned. those ones are just plain annoying

The first month that I owned my Mustang, I was taking my wife and Mom out for dinner. I was in the left lane, cruising at about 70-80mph, with the flow of traffic. To my left, in the Express Lane, a new-ish Corvette pulled up alongside me. He looked over, obviously checking out the Mustang. He then gunned it a few times and took off, as there was nobody in front of him.

I was all, "My guy... I'm in traffic, with my wife and mom in the car... I'm not racing."
those kind of people are also really annoying, completely ignoring the unwritten rules. respect the passengers, and dont try stupid things in traffic, aka "make sure the lanes are clear"

Me (also north of Seattle), I don't see much in the way of trying to race me (maybe not paying much attention, just enjoying the mustang), but the area is definitely awash with Subarus. I get plenty of waves/thumbs up from other mustang drivers... still no S650s though.
I finally have a S650 in my area but we always seem to be driving in the opposite direction. I'd like to have a chat some day! Glenn

In my area it’s been Teslas trying to show off, little civics with the classic rice setup that try to bait me into a race…and the dickhead Audi drivers doing stupid stunts or pass everyone in heavy traffic.

Camaros, over and over. Not sure what it is about Camaro drivers but every time I see one rolling next to me or at a light I know what's about to happen. I don't bother so they get bored and run off after a few seconds.

I rolled up next to a beautiful white S550 with really nice mods. My top was down and I was just going to tell him I really liked the car. He looks over at me (kid in his 20s) and gives me some sort of look of authority I guess and takes off like he proved something. So much for the compliment I intended to send his way...

When I had my '24 Mustang GT it was usually Chargers with the 5.7 HEMI or the 6.4 HEMI. Hellcats always left me alone probably because a GT isn't much work for a Hellcat. Riced out Honda Civics were also pretty bad offenders.

With the Hellcat I have now most cars leave me alone. It gets way more attention than the Mustang, but more so just staring and ooh's and ahh's. The only cars that really try to do anything are 5.7L and Scat Pack Chargers/Challengers because those just seem to attract the most hoonigans. Sometimes I'll get something unique coming up to goof around like a nice AMG Mercedes or a GT-R.

The Hellcat will obliterate 99.5% of cars so I mostly just ignore people if they try to mess with me in it.

Doesn't matter what car you have, though. Nissan Altimas will race you in any car, any time, anywhere.
The R/T's Challengers and Chargers leave me alone....Scat Packs always trying to flex, and always get sent to Gapplebees. Don't they know their cars are too heavy?

Oh, I love this thread. Hello from the southeastern region (SC).

For me, Dodge always are the ones to pull up and issues the challenge. Doesn’t matter what trim level, there are always a few that will come for me. Anytime anyplace mindset.

Other mustangs not so much. It’s kind of a right time right place type of scenario. It seem to be more of a respect thing.

While driving on I-95 the other day: Kias, Hyundais, Hondas, little Fiats, Suv's (any), Pick-ups (any).
I just do my 80-85, smile and shake my head as they come up on my ass and speed by.
edit: lol, forgot about the Altimas....
Those damn Altimas....

Definitely a respect with other Mustang drivers. I pulled up beside an S550 Mach 1 at a stop light a couple weeks ago in my DH. Both of our windows were down and I revved up. He looked over and revved up. He said he really liked my car. I said I really liked his. Then we went our separate ways.

I don't usually have issues with the Teslas like a lot of people are saying. Around here, outside Seattle, most of the Tesla drivers are hipsters and the kinds of people who bought a car out of necessity, not because they wanted to.

We could start a whole other thread about Mustang drivers there are that don't understand or appreciate the culture that exists. I see a lot of SN95 and S197 drivers who are just oblivious to other Mustang drivers. To them it's just a car; just a tool.
