WHIPPLE CALIBRATION & OTA UPDATES

Just installed a new OTA update last night. Started thinking whether or not these updates are writing over the Whipple SC cal?

Does anyone know anything about this or is there a quick way to check and make sure the Whipple code is complete? I'd hate to give it the beans on the wrong cal.

The OTA updates from Ford don't write over the calibration from Whipple. So no need to worry.

I see my car is scheduled for an OTA update. What was Ford doing this time?

Looks like it was something to do with the ABS. Very little information other than that.

I got the message yesterday that the update for the Engine Diagnostic was available and I had to Confirm it to download, which it did last night,

That update is a New PCM calibration and I had to reload my E85 tune this morning.

S0 I would say any PCM OTA would require you to acknowledge it to load.

update PT-25.13.1 downloaded last night

It says it resolves a false C.E.L. on the dash

So apparently the prior software had some sort of a glitch where it was tossing a false code and tripping the Check Engine Light.

Your guess is as good as mine as to exactly what code it was tossing as there is zero info online about it that gives a detailed explanation

No TSB's turned up either

Now we all sit and wait for Ford while they figure out how to correct the problems that got us all recall notices with no known solution to the problem.

That’s an older one. I got it back in January.

This one is for a Check Engine light.
