This is good news. I don't understand why they can't just do the inspection and let the car go subject to a future fix. Surely most of these cars do not have water issues or we'd be hearing a lot more of it.

IF and I say IF you are considering asking your dealer to keep your "jailbird" then you may want to ask them about ordering a 2025 as I think until the end of September all 2025 Mustang orders include most if not all of the options at N/C. You will still have to pay shipping, PDI and state tax but I think you will only have to pay base price plus those add-ons.

According to the dealer allocations for DH’s are not in the pipeline and are not expected to be distributed till late November/ December. 26 Handling Pack options are going to be very difficult to acquire with long wait times on delivery 8-10 months or more.

Please don’t start an argument with me about what has been reported to me by them.

OK good news today - Well unexpectedly my DH just broke out of recall Jail ... Will pick it up next week ... Folks waiting on recalls check with your dealer apparently the fixes have been released ...

The "fix" is some seam sealer lol.

Oh and they have to pry up the corner of your windshield to do it. What could possibly go wrong?

If they break it lots of luck finding a good one to install. My guy went through more than a half dozen to find one worth install.
I don't want just anyone replacing my windshield. I am sure its a crap shoot on not having it break lifting one corner if you have any stone chips.

It’s a recall fix Ford techs are fixing it has nothing to do with stone chips THE CAR IS BRAND NEW on the showroom floor it was on stop sale cause of the recall, I’m not sure WTF your talking about

Guess your not up to speed on the recall. How about the cars that are already sold. Chips not in paint but on winshields that are already on cars in service. You go lifting a corner on a windshield with any chips things might not have a good outcome. Hope this explains things better.

Not to pile on, but yes, the recall applies to cars that have been built as far back as June 2024. There can be cars with 20,000 miles or more being recalled. Its not just new cars still sitting at the dealer.

I’m up to speed my friend, I’m talking about my car in the showroom, no chips, no flakes, no cracks, brand new 4 miles. Never left the showroom floor.

I’m not talking about Spanky's car with 2500 miles and chips galore … Seems the only flakes around here are two legged ones that troll the Mustang board
