I don't bother. If they want your wheels they'll take them. Wheel locks are just an annoyance to you and your own maintenance these days

Mine came with the locking nut, im gonna just leave it on. Is there any reason other than an annoyance to just leave them on? I guess if someone wants them they will take them but im not gonna make it any easier is what im thinking. I guess if I tracked my horse id want faster access so id toss em. Cheers 🍻

My DH came with chrome lugs. They got replaced with a full set of Gorilla gloss black splined lugs. Thieves may still get them if they want them bad enough, but I figure they should be good and frustrated by the time they get to the 20th.

My lugs come off and go on by hand. On all my vehicles with aftermarket wheels. No impact gun will ever touch them, so the splines don't bother me a bit.

I did the same swap. Looks great.

I don't see where Mustang wheels are in high demand, now Honda wheels, they get stolen CONSTANTLY, off car lots and I had one claim where the guy picked up his car the night before and in the morning he came out and it was on milk crates with the wheels gone.

The ones Ford supplies can be defeated in seconds by anyone with the $45 HF 4 tool kit and a hammer. If they are coming with a jack and battery operated tools to get your wheels they probably have the universal lug nut removal tool in their pocket.

I have a set at the shop in NH for when people don't leave the key where I can find it and I upcharge $40 if I have to use it as the flat rate guide says add for wheel locks, it is not an included operation.

Mine are still in the bag with the front plate holder sitting in the trunk where they have been since I picked the car up in June of 2024.

What I will suggest to those of you that drive yours in wet salty areas is to buy a 21.5 MM socket off Amazon for 10 bucks and keep it where you can find it as these effn chrome capped lug nuts can in certain environments swell up and your standard sockets won't fit on them

I have a set of 4 in my tool box here in FL and a set at the shop in NH and in NH they get a LOT of use.

I have McGards on all my cars except Black Gorilla splines on my aftermarket DH wheels. Makes me feel better. I’m hoping the hassle will make them decide to move on to you guys without them. Thanks in advance.
