The dash displays your lateral acceleration and stays on the highest recorded value until you shut it off (then it starts over).

I am curious what others have seen for left or right hand turns.

These values were recorded and the Nürburgring.

But I have to mention that it is easy to set higher values by sudden actions at low speed.

Nurburgring! Wow! I lived near there for two years but never drove on it.

I recorded 1.17 at Michelin Road Atlanta. It was my first ever track day.

What got me curious is seeing a YouTube video of a guy tracking his Mustang. He had an accelerometer built into whatever system he was using to record his video, and he was hitting like 1.43 G !!! Not a typo. It was displaying the G forces in real time, and he was holding sustained high G forces like that for some long turns. I do not know what all mods he had to his car, and the accelerometer was not the stock Ford dashboard, so I do not know how comparable the two numbers are from one device to the other, but I was rather shocked, because I had to drive my car pretty hard through the turns to get that 1.17G . . . of course I am new at this, so a more experienced driver could have probably pushed that number higher.

Nice to hear. If you are coming over again, just give a message. We can have a round easily.

I drove the Hockenheimring Race Track too, but I forgot to record my values. However, the tires got hot and the grip was accordingly higher.

I watched during Dark Horse Track Attack, and IIRC the best I got was 1.18 one way and 1.14 the other. That’s post session beer worthy. 2 pints for being the first track day

I saw 1.34g on the top of my accelerometer after a brake 'inspection' one time...
I’ve seen 1.36 at track attack and 1.32 on a controlled brake test on local roads, so #respect!

I don't fully trust it because I once saw like 1.3-1.5 something driving slowly to get groceries in my town. In a base Ecoboost. Not even possible (without crashing the car).
