You probably have an S550 and not a S650.

I plugged in my dash cam on that usb port behind the mirror. It seems to stay on even after the car is shut off and locked. It is always on.

Do you have any issues with the 70mai not turning on after powering off for maybe 10-15 minutes?

Everytime park and power off for gas/food/errands the 70Mai will not automatically power on startup. I would have to manually power the 70mai back up. On the other hand, my 70mai would power on automatically on startup if I were to park it for over 1 hour. Im trying to figure out if its the Camera/cable/or the USB port. I got cable similar to yours

I have the Escort 360 Max Mk11. It powers up fine, but so far, has not alerted on even electric doors. Maybe enough power to just light up.
I want to stop a police officer and ask him to aim his radar at me for verification. But don't think that would go over to well.

Just chiming in for anyone else coming across this later on. The USB module can be removed if needed. It's just a two wire connector plugged into the module. The body side of the connector is running 12V. I have no intentions of using it so I removed it to give me a clean spot for routing dashcam cabling and will 3D print a cover to clean things up.
