What Color is Blue Ember

So I just saw my first Dark Horse Blue Ember. It was in the show room so it did not do the paint justice. Initially it looked dark, almost blackish. Then where the overhead light would hit a small section, it changed to a dark blue with like copper metallic. So what does the paint really look like in the sunshine???

I used to see them testing on 94 all last year, they didn’t wash them ever… it looked like gross brown once it was dirty.

I’m sure it’s gorgeous if you keep it flawlessly clean… but a layer of dirt just made it milky sparkly brown.

Echoing this, I've seen them myself. When clean the color is a beautiful combination of dark blue with a generous amount of gold flake that is quite obvious in direct sunlight. Imagine the McLaren P1's Cereberus Pearl paint, but with a LOT more blue and purple and a lot less gold - the gold is very, very subdued for a subtle reflection.

When the paint is dirty, it's a disgusting shade of brown.

This color reminds me a lot of Area 51, in the sense that you have to see it in person to truly appreciate it. Seems to be the case with most color shifting colors.

Thanks, so the metallic comes through as purplish and the car lightens up looking more blue than blackish.

There was no way the dealer was going to pull the car out of the showroom and it was overcast anyway!

If anyone is in the DC area looking for one, this one was at Bannister Ford. It had 6sp, 700 package and Recaro seats. They only had a 6k markup, but said they were negotiable

Exactly the same car,pics taken from a video at the NYIA while they were playing around with the lights, the frames are only a few seconds apart from each other.
Not the color I would choose, but definitely an interesting one.

First BE one I saw in the sun immediately reminded me of the 1996 Cobra Mystic paint, a combo of purple, green and brown.
