I found this hysterical!

Buttigieg told Car and Driver on Wednesday how much he liked the Ford Mustang Mach-E EV his security detail was just issued, and noted that, along with the keys, they were handed a gas card—standard issue for a government vehicle.

Being a contractor for a contractor for the government, this doesn't surprise me at all. Some higher ranking foreign military person said what makes us such a terrifying force is that we don't even follow our own military doctrine. Nearly impossible to know what we're going to actually do because we don't even know yet lol.

Maybe the "gas card" gives access to the charging stations? Nope, it likely doesn't even work at the gas stations because they wouldn't need to be activated.

It's great that the government is buying Mach Es. I've seen 2 maybe 3 on the road. Not very many are being sold. Maybe if they had named it the Bronco E. I see a ton of Bronco Sports.

Not many MOCKErys are being sold because the EV agenda is BS. The power grids can't support mass "we all need EV" ideology, it just can't. Hell, the last 2 news articles in the last week were:

Rolling blackouts possible this summer due to grids not being able to handle heat waves etc.

and

Tesla telling Tesla owners not to charge during peak hours ...

2 newest articles that will make you laugh - and goes to show the world isn't ready for total EV juicing:

Tesla Tells Texan Owners: Avoid Charging During Peak Times https://carbuzz.com/news/tesla-tells-texan-owners-avoid-charging-during-peak-times

it's laughable at best that everyone thinks EV's are "greener" than ICE, and are the future when that's far from the facts. If the power grids can't even support homeowners/condo/rentals using A/C in the hottest months - then freaking tell me how it's going to support an influx of brain dead sheeple plugging in their EV - to the same damn grid... and that hat "power" needed to change is still coming down the line to their freaking charger cord and wall outlet via coal/fuel/mechanical fired/polluting sources. Electricity and the mining for battery materials doesn't come out of thin air. For some reason the sheeple think EV's and their powering up of one is voodoo magic and all will be green and better than the last 100+ years of effective and efficient ICE transportation. What a crock, and people better wake up and see the Big Picture.

EV's will have a HORRIBLE trade in value as well as private party resale. They'll be like giant disposable weed whackers sitting on dealer lots and in landfills because the cost to replace a skateboard battery will outweigh the cost to just trash it or buy another vehicle.

This comment hit the nail on the head. The only thing I'd add is the ramifications of lithium strip mining, and how it's far worse than the burning of any oil-based fuel ever will be.

I believe this is why automobile manufacturers want EVs so badly, even though consumers don't want them. Car builders don't want the average age of a vehicle on the road to be 12 years. They want all vehicles on the road to be relatively new, because vehicles no longer last. Gas engines are too good now and they don't support high volume new car sales.

and just like Apple they can pull shenanigans to 'obsolete' devices if they are lasting too long and force another round of buying.
