Walk away locking

I was disappointed to find that my 2025 GT with 400A equipment group does not have automatic walk away locking like nearly every other modern car on the planet that uses a fob. In reading these forums, I found that this can be enabled via ForScan. Has anyone found that a dealer will enable this option?

why have someone else have the possibility of messing up your car you can get a forscan adapter for less than $50
and do it correctly

super easy just backup yours as built stuff
then go in to your module your editing find the correct numbers and change the value in the guide with the x's pretty much

Buy a 40 dollar cable and you can do more than that. Just watch a youtube tutorial on forscan and thats it. Most imoortant is do a back up before changing anything.

You mean that the doors don't lock when you walk away? I could swear mine did. I'll have to check!

I never trust it on any Vehicle .
l always use the Key Fob’s .
I want to hear the Horn Beeb.
Then I know for sure.

Yeah, I just hit the lock button as I open the door to get out of the car. It's taken a lot of practice but I've gotten pretty good at it....

I just use touch locking, haven't used a key fob in years. It's like giving a faithful dog a pat.

Wal can (or at least some that are factory provided) have settings to provide feedback. Flash lights, single horn honk, or both. Usually we used the single honk (but at home in own garage was almost annoying) start walking away if didn’t hear the horn just turn around and find out why before exiting the sightline.

Lucky for me, I don't miss WAL... I turn it off in every car that has it. Most cars have fobs and buttons on the door handle... already multiple choices. I can choose to lock them or not, since I don't lock them in the garage.

My point is- If the hardware exists and the software has already been written, it would not cost Ford anything to give us the option of turning WAL on or off just like auto headlight high beams and rain sensing wipers.

Apparently the feature works on the S650 (enabled with forscan), however the menu item to turn it on and off doesn't work... which may be why Ford left it out... a bug they couldn't figure out before shipping?
