I painted my existing cover with Grabber Blue and clear spray cans from automotivetouchup.com
Looks awesome for under $50
I've thought about doing that. Can you post pictures. And a link for the cans?

Here is the underhood with the cover and strut tower caps painted, and my trunk display for shows. The paint is available at

Damn! They sure look sharp (and I'm not a fan of under hood bling)!. You're right about the price though; Rapid Red + CF ended up being $388 [6% internet sales tax in MI; even for stuff purchased out of state 🤬] + S & H!
there is always a discount code but it does not amount to much

Those engine covers about $65 shop cost, and I know red paint isn't cheap, but over $300 to me is just a waste of money.

I don't have a problem spending money, as evidenced by my purchase of about $900 in Milwaukee stuff in the last 3 weeks including 2 of the new jump packs, but I don't see it as a good value for my dollar, and that is not a slam on the people offering it for sale, I just don't get $300 worth of bang for the buck from it.

Where I have the 3 stage paint, doing it with rattle cans is not feasible as there are very few suppliers of 3 stage spray cans and that paint code is brutally expensive.

Some day if I have the car out and go by a paint supply place I might ask them to come out with their scanner and see if they can create a single stage that is close in color, or even a BC/CC

I bought the engine cover painted in iconic silver since the accents on the car were in silver and red. It made the engine bay stand out more.

Answered my own question, looks like they come on the Gen 4 Aluminator. Thank you to everyone that helped.
