Hello guys,

I have a 24 mustang and iinstalled bucklets seats and the airbag light is on. I knew that was gonna happen. But im hoping someone can give me some guidance on how to run it off. With the reseach iove done i found that ohm resistors are the way to go. But hopefully someone can give me more info since i only found one video and its not that helpful.

I'm in the same boat with my 2022 Mach 1. I purchased junkyard seats to salvage the wiring harnesses and passenger occupancy bladder for my "race" buckets and I used the resister mod shown on the various discussion boards and videos. The passenger bladder functions to trigger the warning chime if someone is seated unbuckled and the magnetic seat position sensors are also positioned for air bag activation, however, I can't get the air bag light to turn off, either. I've read the car might need a SRS programming reset dealers/body shops can do after crash repairs but good luck finding anyone willing to touch a non-OEM system. I really hope I don't have to find out if my airbags are functioning properly but, at this point, I don't know what else to do. Good luck and please post any updates if you learn of a solution.

I would try disabling PAS in this location of the IPC with FORScan:

S650 Mustang Turning off airbag light when installing Bucket seats. 1765567208196-we

@John S Your vehicle being a 2022 is different and there is no FORScan sheet for previous gen. However, looking at the 2023 Explorer sheet, PAS is located in the same location on the IPC of those vehicle, so worth a shot to try it, imo.

None is needed. It is very easy. Assuming you already have a windows laptop, all you need is a $30 cable. FORScan itself is free for a 2 month license or $20 for a year.
